Exploring Penelokan Village Road:'The European Version of Bali'

I began my walk at the start of the Penelokan village road, which stretches about one kilometer. It was six in the morning, just before sunrise. The sky was a bit foggy, with dark clouds hanging over Mount Batur. I could see the light starting to emerge from behind the hills around Lake Batur.

Along the way, people were unloading merchandise from their cars, like instant noodles and coffee, ready to be sold to early morning visitors. As I walked, I noticed many people taking photos of the view and each other. This place has become very crowded, thanks to social media.

One of the most striking buildings was at the edge of the road, resembling European-style architecture, contrasting with the natural scenery. Three Kintamani dogs joined the scene as I continued walking. They are a special breed from this area, adding to the unique atmosphere.

Approaching the European-style buildings, I looked down and saw more restaurants and hotels below the road. This road eventually leads down towards the lake and the base of Mount Batur, where people start their hikes to the top. Usually, hikers begin at four in the morning and reach the summit by six to catch the sunrise.

At around 6:30, the sun started to rise, clearing some of the fog. Though my camera wasn't great at capturing the sunrise perfectly, I still managed to take a few photos. After that, I concluded my walk through Penelokan village.

And then I said to myself, 'Okay, I've been to this European version of Bali.' Even though it isn't really European—the temperature was twenty-six degrees. In Europe, it would be much colder than this."
