Me, the bargain hunter 🙈

Yes, here I come to confess that I am a bargain hunter. I would like to say that I am a pro at it, but not yet 😂 Of course, with this I don't mean that I buy every single thing that is on sale, nor am I a rummager of worthless things, because thanks to God and my lifestyle I stopped being a compulsive shopper a long time ago, but it is something that I apply when I am looking for what I need.

If I go shopping very rarely I do it in the first place I see, so shopping doesn't take me just a few minutes or just half a day, depending on what I'm looking for it could take me a whole day or two 🤭

I do this not only with the products I buy for myself such as personal hygiene products (shampoo, toothpaste, soap, some body lotion, etc.) but I also take it to the food part, because I always go walking even if it is a little long distances looking for the best prices at the time of acquiring it.

As the economy of my country is unstable, then it has become a real work to go from one place to another looking for the best prices, because unfortunately it is very rare to get all the things at a better price in one place. Rather, in one store some things are at a good price and in another store others are at a good price. So you have to walk from store to store buying a little at a time to save some money in the end.

So shopping for me is not an easy task, sometimes it is exhausting and even a little stressful, but when at the end I feel that I have saved money, that with what is left I can buy something else and thus continue to help the economy of my home, I think it was worth it.

All this is a preamble to tell you that when I go shopping I always try to minimize costs.

For example, about ten years ago I bought some shoes that I needed. I loved the detail of the little bow on the front and the gray color (I think it goes with almost everything). They are made of plastic, so they resist water and nothing happens to them. At the time, the price of these shoes was less than $1. I still have them and they are intact. Definitely a purchase that came out pretty good value for money 🙌🏻

Likewise, when I go shopping for fabric, only some I look for in the patchwork drawer. This is where the fabrics are that have some detail (that can be fixed), such as a hole (discard that small part and the rest is very well used) or that are dirty (washed), and for that reason they make a discount of 8, 10 or even 20% 🤩 This helps me to sell what I sew at an affordable price for people, without sacrificing the quality of the fabric and the garment.

I know that sometimes it happens as some say that cheap is expensive because the economic thing could be damaged quickly and then I have to spend again to replace it. However, in my things or the things I buy for myself I always try to get the best in terms of price and quality. I will not go to the first ones thinking that if it is expensive it is because it is of good quality and it will last, no, rather at the time of spending our money I will think very well in minimizing the costs and at the same time get something of quality 💜
