I FEEL I COULD COOK BETTER THAN FAST FOOD

Honestly, cooking can be an exciting routine for some people especially me, I love cooking and this has been what I liked doing ever since I was a child. If I’m not wrong, I started cooking when I was in elementary class 4 in my primary school. Ever since then, I’ve always found cooking to be a part of me.

Funny how back in the day, men were seen as genders who couldn’t cook as it was perceived to be a routine specially meant for ladies. But I broke that bond ever since I was a child and it amazes people to see a very young man (bachelor) cooking.

So, would I prefer making my meals by myself or going out to get fast food?
The answer to this would greatly depend on my current schedule and availability. Cooking sometimes could be a little bit stressful and even discouraging if you happen to be feeling famished, the little energy you have left in you should be used to eat rather than used in preparing the meal which you may even lose appetite for the food at the end of the day.

Either way, I would still prefer making my meals all by myself because I don’t patronize fast foods and restaurants except I’m away from home.

One of the reasons why I prefer a homemade meal to fast food is because, I love the competency of having to eat what you prepared by yourself, there is a special way I would love my food to taste and I’ll make it to suit my taste. Secondly, foods you make at home tend to be cheaper than fast foods or restaurants because believe me, I’ve experimented with this myself by purchasing food at a restaurant and weighing the quantities, using that same amount of money to prepare my meal at home and comparing the difference in quantity.

I got to realize that preparing your meal at home would give you more quantity than if you were to purchase from a restaurant.

Although my little experiment and observation were only best applicable for a purchased food item like rice, noodles, yam etcetera. I learned that most people who sell restaurants also tend to farm most of their vegetables thereby reducing their cost of purchasing some food items in the market and this is a very brilliant way to tackle the high cost of food items.

But all being said either way, I can only patronize fast food for the following reasons which are;

  1. Low cost: I would purchase them if they are cheap and affordable at a decent price because times are hard these days.
  2. Away from home: this is the one important reason why I would go for fast food when I’m far away from my kitchen of course and finally.
  3. Laziness/tiredness/procrastination: don’t joke with these three guys especially the first one(laziness) they can hinder you from achieving certain things for yourself even when you know you are capable.

How about you? Do you prefer making your meals by yourself or do you prefer sitting at a restaurant and settling for fast food let me know in the comments and let us interact.

I also think that home-made food was better than fast food since we can always adjust the taste of the food according to our personal preference.
