AGE IS WISDOM | an advice that took years to interpret
"Mum, how do people have plenty of money and become rich?" This is one question i asked my grandmother over 20 years ago when i was still a little child but the reply she gave me was very confusing and not straight forward as i expected. My grandma would always answer questions with a parable, I've never know why she does that but on this very question i asked her, she told me to keep doing what ever you are good at but put smile on people's faces!

As a child that i was, i kept on trying to interpret her words even after so many years later but to no good avail until few years back when I decided establish myself and add meaning to my life to become useful. I just fell in love with music and i loved everything about music.
Right from my childhood when i was a kid, i admired people who could play music instruments like the drums, the guitar, keyboard and other instruments. I really had the passion to learn and play as well but obviously i was quite too young and small then because i had my primary and secondary school education to focus on rather than playing music instruments.
In my secondary school career, i joined a music band in school where we played drums during our school competitions and parades, i then migrated from school band into a church band where i began to play drums in my former church. It was really impressive how my music career grew with my consistency and practices. After church services i also laid my hands on the keyboards where i began to learn and understand the sofa notes (do,re,mi,fa,...) Even tho i wasn't getting it quite right as at then.
Still in the church, i ended up in a dance crew where we always made money by entertaining people and making them smile. I settled in the dance crew and rehearsing and dancing for three years so i became perfect to most hip hop dance moves that made me a star.
From dancing i came in touch with music making, when i listened to certain songs, i try to reproduce them using the able tunes 9 and fruity loop studio 20. I mastered so many concept's on music making from scratch to at least not a pro level but close. I made alot of cash also by selling some beats to upcoming music stars who could make voice covers to my beats.
The music making is what catapulted me into the Disc jockey industry where i am currently as a fixed DJ.
My evolution around the four walls of music has been so dynamic that i now feel music in every aspect of my life.
It takes wisdom to understand certain words and maturity to understand the principles on how life is. As a child that i was, the question i asked my grandma was how will i be rich?! But my grandmother knowing that i was just a child, she gave me the reply and said to me, "keep doing what you love doing that put smile's on peoples faces."
Her words meant that consistency and hardwork will lead you to your goals as long as people appreciate what you do. This is indeed a great word of wisdom that a child may not understand until his/her mind is grown and matured enough as a man. When i finally understood this words from my grandmother from 20 years ago, it was already too late to tell her that i have finally manifested in her advice as she was long gone!.
Never despise your little beginning, thank God for where you are today.

Those are wise words, that is the thing with elderly people, their words is never straight forward. I'm glad you were able understand her words at the end and it made a beautiful impact on your life.

This is the reason we have to perfect our skill. As long as you are putting a smile on people's faces, there will always be an audience for you. That's why even in the harshest economies, the entertainment industry will still boom.
You're doing great.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Surely surely, you got the logic mr bruno-kema. People are quite much more interested in the things that gives them solace and comfort that is where the entertainment industries make waves.
