Engagement #62-SPENDER/SAVER.
Hello guys welcome to blog it's really an honor to participate in this amazing contest, it's my very first contest here in @hivenaija and on today's topic i will be talking about savings and reasons why students should save. Saving is the money set aside for future reference and not the money spent immediately.
Do you think a student who collects allowances at home should also save?
I strongly believe that everyone is allowed to save money no matter now small that person is and as for a student to save it is a very important thing that every student should do because he/she will be the one to get the benefit afterwards. As a student who's parents always give allowances i will advice such person to save because they myth be some times where your parents won't have money to give you and by so doing such person can fend for his/her in school on that particular day.
When i say student should save am not talking about only those in the university am actually talking about both those in the secondary school and even nowdays even student in primary school are also saving because sometimes they can see whatever they like and save money to buy it with the help of their parents without their parents using their own money buy it for them.
I remember when i actually started saving money in my primary school, i was actually using my savings to buy some books when ever we were ask to do because as at that time i was living with my uncle and his family so when i meet his wife ti give me money to buy book in school it's always take her days or week before she give me the money and most of the time i always get punishe in school so due to that reason i started saving from the little money she normally give me to school and from there on i started buying most of the things i need alone.
How many percent do you think it's okay for a beginner?
Actually to my own understanding and prospective the percentage every student will want to save will depend on the amount he/she is been given, as they say all fingers are not equal so the amount party A gets it's not the same with party B so to me if am go give a percentage i will say 70:30 for those who get lower amount and don't eat at home before going to school and 50:50 for those who eat at home and still bring allowance to school. When i started i was given two hundred naira to school and i don't always eat so when i get to school i will spend one hundred and fifty naira then save fifty naira and as time went on when things started getting more expensive my allowance was increased to three hundred naira and so did my savings increased to hundred naira so sometimes savings is all about desciplen but it's not a do or die affira .
importance of savings
Savings is very important because it's helps to solve some emergency issues , in some situations i normally bring out my savings money to help out with some things at home even up till now most especially now that i have handwork every little profit i get i save 90% of it despite the fact that am a student and i can boldly say that from the money i saved i have been able to get my own personal baking oven and some baking materials i have at home.
Saving is one thing every one should to take as part of their lives because it's something that will help in so many ways must especially when you feel all hope is lost, so i will advice every student that has not been saving to start saving now. Thank you guys for stopping by on my blog.

Saving as a student can be very difficult when you are in a school where you pay for almost everything you do. That's why the only way students can truly save is for short term goals.
Yes that's true.
