You know, I was like this too until I started training myself not to transfer my aggression on others because they aren't the cause. It's common to have mood swings but how we respond afterwards is something we need to work on so it doesn't affect others around us. It is important we learn to control our emotions and with those practices you mentioned, I am sure they work.
