I destroyed a camera because of my curiosity.

It was curiosity and lack of acknowledging God that made the people building the Tower of Babel to get disunited. They wanted to build the tower reaching above the sky to reach heaven but God decided to stop them which led to the destruction of the building. Perhaps we could say their curiosity to know where God stays and wanting to make a way leading to heaven made us have different languages today. Maybe we might be speaking just a language if they never thought of building a way to heaven and if God hadn't stopped them. God had to scatter the people and send them all over the earth to live.
Children are always curious to see how fire is burning and don't know what happens after that. They will try to put one of their hands or fingers in it thinking it's for play but when they get burnt, feel the pain and cry, next time, no one would tell them to run or stay away from the fire because they have known that it is dangerous.
Many times, I have been curious right from childhood and here is an experience I would be sharing regarding that. There was this camera during our childhood that was reigning among kids then. I so much desired it and disturbed our parents to get it for my siblings and me. Dad did promise us but on the condition that we should focus on our studies and have good results.
I was in primary class then. This camera is called "Roll and See". When you roll the camera, you start seeing different kinds of animals. He eventually bought 3 and gave each of us. We were so excited that day as we started showing every kid around trying to impress them. It took us more than begging and crying for us to get this thing and so, we cherished the toy and would even keep it beside us when we were sleeping. Dad made an inscription of our names on it so that when one lost his or her own, we won't have to fight over who owns the remaining one.
My curiosity came one day when I decided to see how those animals are showing. I thought if I pull something out, an animal would come out; see children's thinking. By the time I unscrewed the whole camera and used my teeth to pull out the wire inside, I couldn't see anything. I gave up and decided to screw back the way it should but I already destroyed the wire attached to it. After arranging it back, I tried to roll but no animals were showing. I became sad and was crying when I saw the camera has spoilt.
I went to my dad and he told me that was the end because he was not going to get any toys for me again. I would always be jealous of my siblings when they are playing with their toys while holding my dead camera with the hope that it would resurrect again but nothing happened. I accepted my fate and always beg my siblings whenever I need to use their camera.
Hehe. I am also very much familiar with it because I also bought the camera many times and I loved to play with it in my childhood.
What!!! I have never thought about it like you. I think you became very serious about it otherwise normal kids don't think that kind of thing.
As a kid, we all have destroyed many things that if we started to make a list of it then it won't finish.
Tons of objects we have destroyed as kids out of curiosity. Though it's always termed as destroying things but that is one way to detect what a child wants to be.
Yay! 🤗

Normally, when you want to get something from your parents you just have to pass your terms exams and come out first if possible.
It's funny but you are correct because most of us were like that. Any toy our parents get for us we always want to dig deep into those gadgets especially if it is electronics, we want to see the people that are inside it that makes it work.
When i saw the title saying you destroyed a camera I was already curious to read it because cameras are no jokes in the market thank God it was a toy 😂....
That is it. Our parents always get us there especially if we don't want to study hard.
Hahaha. Why would I want to destroy a real camera if not for a toy it was then. Lol
Hahaha 😂. You are just like my last born. He loves loosing everything new to see how it works.
That was a great lesson for you.
Thanks for sharing.
Yes, we just want to see what is making it work inside. Lol
Sometimes our curiosity overshadows us and until we satisfy it we won't stop. The result might be positive or negative.
You are right. We don't stop until we achieve something out of it.
That camera is usually that surprised us then, I admit that I have also been curious about it but I don’t think I destroyed my camera, heheh.
Sometimes curiosity can bring a negative result
Yes, our curiosity can turn to something negative in the end which makes us sad.
I know the camera too😅😅 But we didn't call it roll and see o. We used to get it as souvenir gifts from parties as kids then. I loved that camera too.
I wouldn't completely blame you for spoiling the camera since it was just curiosity. It's happens to the best of us. If I tell you how curiosity has landed me into trouble so many times ehn 😅😅.
But it is well, now we know better.
Thanks for sharing this funny story with us🌹
Hehehe. I like the camera too. So small and handy. Children are always curious to see how things are done and in the end, it leads us destroying them which makes us sad when they don't work as before. Thank you for reading.
They certainly do
You're welcome dear🤗
The same camera, I had during my childhood 😂. Like you when I broke it to meet with animals. I found small pictures. The eye lens used in it, has the purpose of magnification. In this way, I lost my precious camera 😂.
It pained me when I damaged my precious camera too and was envious of my siblings' own. Lol
Lolzzz, they did say curiosity kills the cat, lolzz the fact of you pulling the wire out really made me laugh. ... Well hope you learnt your lesson as a child
