Coffee, Light and the Word

The last time, I was reading my Bible when all of a sudden, I felt sleepy. It was still early for me to sleep and that was because I'd stressed myself throughout the day, working in the kitchen after returning from the market where I spent over 3 hours preparing a new soup and special meal I was craving and I also went for Bible study later in the day. When the day was going down, I decided to study my Bible before I moved to the next task and then sleep thereafter.
Thanks to my small solar lamp that I ordered from Lagos. I couldn't get something of such in the city where I am staying. The lamp has been serving its purpose at night, making the whole room light up, and that always boosts my morale to do more work at night. The lamp is a chargeable one and can also be charged under the sun.

I was reading an interesting story from the daily devotional guide and my eyes weren't ready to cooperate. I didn't want to miss another day, thereby losing the evening streak, so I thought of taking some coffee, which I considered late already. It's either I drink coffee very early in the morning or a few hours into the afternoon, and once it's late in the night, I don't bother taking coffee because I may sleep at any moment and wouldn't want anything to disturb me.
I do not have a choice but to prepare a small cup of coffee just to keep me awake and active to focus and learn from the word that night. It turned out to be a wonderful night as I was able to perform many things, which got reduced the next day, making me sleep for hours and, in a way, I was satisfied with it.
I love the combination of coffee and the word plus the light as a reflection. Coffee keeps me awake to read the Bible, which in turn serves as a light to my path. Remember the word of God in Psalms 119 where it says, "Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path." That's something I could relate this experience to. A very magical moment for me.
I sent the image to my sister, and she was like, "This is perfect." Well, I was glad to capture such a moment because I never thought of doing so. Have you done something like this before? Maybe it's just only me because it's so beautiful taking note of the picture and making meaning out of it.

It's my pleasure. Thank you 😊
coffee is a great way to keep one focus but am looking for the one that doesnt cause anxiety or heart beat
This doesn't cause anxiety and it doesn't have much caffeine
ohhh ok
A cup of coffee and a bible in hand, matching tranquility, where each moment is savored with both the warmth of the drink and and peace of the word
"Matching tranquility" I love the word. So perfect description 👌
Thank you for reading.
@princessbusayo You're welcome 😍 Have a good day!
Coffee and reading is a divine combination (no pun intended :D). Glad you found a way to fight off the exhaustion - though wow, three hours for a soup! That must be one great soup.
Yes, a very great soup. One I have tasted for over 15 years when I was a very young girl and it took a whole lot of processes and time.
Certainly that bible verse is wonderful. Nice experience my friend. Coffee, light and the best word of our creator. A hug
Yea, a nice experience it is. I love it.
Thank you for reading.
It is very pleasant to combine reading with coffee, you can better discern the message in a clearer and more reflective way.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us.☕
Excellent Tuesday.
Exactly, you get my point. Thank you. I wish you a great week.
