DIY/ Butterfly lamp

avatar

Hello everyone, how was your day today? I guess it was good because mine was great as well.

So today I made a butterfly lamp for my niece after she showed me one while on her mom's phone. She loves butterflies a lot and I do too so I thought about making the lamp for her as well.

Due to electricity issues here, we use rechargeable lamps at night so I thought it would be nice to make her a customized butterfly lamp and she loved it.

Material used are:

Bulb
Battery
Peanut butter plastic
Cardboard
Razor blade
Super glue
Tape
Pen
Bottle water plastic
Scissors

Procedure

I measured the peanut butter plastic on the cardboard then cut out a rectangle shape and after that, I cut out butterflies on the rectangle shape. I also cut out butterflies on different colors of cardboard and made use of glue to gum each butterfly together on each other.

After that, I placed a stone in between each butterfly to make it glitter, because I am making it for a little girl so it must be beautiful.

I made use of the pen to design the butterfly more.
Then I made use of glue to gum the butterflies design cardboard on my empty plastic. Am loving the outcome already but let me finish the process.

I made use of the tape to attach the bulb to the battery, after that I put it inside the design but then my niece could take it out which may stop it from working so I cut the down of a bottle water plastic then used it to cover the lamp.

Now my niece can sleep with her new lamp on tonight.

The battery belongs to her mother's Nokia torchlight phone, so I am sure she will charge it for her when she goes to school. I didn't gum the cover so that we could remove the battery for charging.

I hope you like the lamp.

It looked like those butterflies actually perched on the lamp, this is beautiful and kind of you to have made such a lamp for your niece. Can I be your niece as well?
