My first visit to a ruby mine that is 700 ft underground
Dear Friends,
The ruby mine was located in Shan State Myanmar. It was on the mountain near Mong Hsu - it is about 15 km from Mong Hsu. The Ruby mine is 700 ft from the ground and had to enter with the elevator. Once we landed underneath, I had to walk a little to get to the work place where rubies were being searched. There were tunnels underneath; some were huge.The video was recorded by me Thank you.

Very cool. Crazy they are running a sluice box right there in the mine. They might do better with strong UV lights as the corundum(ruby/sapphire) will light up like these I dug near Los Angeles.
