Johann Christoph Oley, Christus der ist mein Leben (two preludes)

Oley wrote two short preludes to the chorale "Christus der ist mein Leben". They are too short to publish seperately, so here they are together. The first one features the chorale melody in the tenor voice, the second one features the chorale melody in the bass voice. As is more often the case with Oley's music, they are well written contrapuntally, but are nevertheless a bit bland or even boring.

The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sample set of the Holzey organ of St. Peter and Paul in Weissenau by Prospectum (https://www.prospectum.com/index.php?language=english&id1=2&id2=9).
