Unique style Homemade- Beetroot Patties!!

India is filled with incredible people. It is an diversity of traditions, religions, cuisines and a vibrant land of unique colors and rich history. Indian food is quiet famous around the world. There are so many traditional, authentic dishes that everyone gonna fall in love with the taste.

Today I am sharing a recipe of a dish which is specially prepared in Fasting. But we can have it at anytime without any guilt. Fasting means in India there are many festivals and a particular day in which women do fasting and avoid eating regular white salt and eats one time in a whole day. Instead of regular salt in fasting we use Rock or pink salt(sendha Namak). So, today I am preparing a Beetroot patties/ Beetroot tikki. I prepared this dish in Mahashivaratri.
It does not take much time to prepare, as well as it is prepared with less ingredients. You can have it in snacks or breakfast too. I hope you have never tasted this type of patties before, but I am sure you all gonna love this.

So let's see how to make this simple healthy and pink patties.


Ingredients
▪︎beetroot-1 cup grated.
▪︎potato-½cup boiled.
▪︎greenchili- 1 tbspn
▪︎coriander leaves-1
▪︎pink or rock salt-according to taste
▪︎blackpepper-½tbspn
▪︎cumin powder-½tbspn


METHOD-

1.in a bowl grate Beetroot.

2.boil and peel potatoes.

3.then mash the potatoes.

3.in a bowl add mashed potatoes, grated Beetroot and finely chopped coriander leaves.

4.add finely chopped green chilies.

5.further add pink or rock salt.

6.then add cumin powder.

7.sprinkle some black pepper.

8.mix all the ingredients well by hands.

9.now take a small quantity of mixture and shape the mixture in a patties shape. Apply some oil in hands before making patties. So the mixture won't stick on the hands.

Like this.

10.make all the patties and place it in a plate.

11.heat a pan.

12.Put some oil in a pan for shallow fry the patties.

13.flip the patties and Cook well till it become crisp and brown spot appears on them.

14.take all the patties in a tissue paper and serve in a plate with green chutney or coconut chutney.

It's very delicious and healthy patties. I have not used much oil to fry these patties. You can have it with any dip or sauce.
If you are not fasting. It will have little sweet taste due to beetroots ,you can add some lemon juice if you like the sweet and sour taste. I hope youb will like this Beetroot patties. Kids also love to have this.
