Love of Food- A Rajasthani Gatte ki sabji!

Hello hiveans! Hope all are in good health..

I am from Rajasthan and everyone knows about Rajasthani food... it is famous all over the country.
Bajre ki roti, lehsun ki chutney and gatte ki sabji.
These are popular Rajasthan cuisines and loved by most of the people's. Food is what that bring the peoples together.

So My Today's blog is for Non Rajasthani's who are not aware of these cuisines.. Today I am sharing a recipe of famous Gatte ki sabji with you all.

The process is little lengthy, but I bet you that once you taste this curry you will never regret later for the time you spend here to make this ...


INGREDIENTS

For dough of gatta-

Gram flour-2 cup
Onions-½cup
Cumin seeds-½tspn
Salt-to the taste
Redchili powder-½tspn
Turmeric powder-½tspn
Oil-1tbspn
Water for kneading.

For curry-

Onions-1cup
Tomato puree-1cup
Cashews- 10 -12(optionql)
Oil-

Turmeric powder-½tspn
Red Chili powder-½tspn
Salt -to the taste
Garam masala-½tspn
Curd-1cup
Coriander powder-½tspn
Coriander leaves- for garnish


METHOD

1.take gram flour in a platter.

2.now add cumin seeds.

3.add oil, red chili powder and salt

4.now add chopped onions and mix it well.

5.With the help of water knead a dough.

6.now apply oil in hand and make small button types of gatte.

7.as shown in the pics.

8.now boil water .

9.and put gatte to boil.

10.now boil till they are soft.

13.now heat oil in a pan again.

12.fry all the gattas till they are crispy.

13.and place all the fried gattas in hot boiled water. Let it soak for 5 mins.

14.Now heat oil in kadhai and add cumin seeds, asofedita and chopped onions.

15.Then make onions and cashews paste. Grind it in a jar.

16.strain some yougurt.

17.then add redchili powder, turmeric powder and mix it well and form a slurry.

18.now add onion and cashew paste and mix it. Cook for 2 mins.

19.then add tomato puree and mix it well. Let it simmer for 5 min.

20.then add whisked masala curd which we prepared.

21.add red chili powder and salt.

22.stir it. Let it simmer for 5 mins.

23.now add the gattas to the curry. Cook for 10 mins, till the gravy is thick.

24.finally add kasuri Meethi.

And coriander leaves.

Transfer all the curry in a bowl and serve it with warm Roti...

The delicious, mouth watering dish gatte ki sabji is ready to eat!!!.

This process is little lengthy but the taste after making this curry is what you will love to eat
