INDIAN Legacy--Dal Tadka!!

Hello hiveans! HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS 2025...
Hope all are good and healthy.
Today I came up with a new recipe 😋 that is very common in India and Every Indian love to have this simple food with lots of protein , nutrients, vitamins and minerals in it and goes well with Rice and Chapati.... Yes I am talking about Dal tadka... In India Dal roti that means combination of lentils and Flatbread or Rice is very popular.
It is considered a everyday food in many parts of India.. so lets see how to make Dal tadka.


**INGREDIENTS **-


Lentils- red lentils, chana dal, moong dal and arhar dal.
I have used combination of all the lentils.

Garlic- 6 -7 pods
Onions- ½cup
Tomato-½cup
Greenchilli-2
Oil-½ tbspn
Ghee-2tbspn
Cumin seeds-½tspn
Asofedita-½tspn
Curry leaves- 3 -4
Redchili powder-½tspn
Whole red chili-2
Salt- to the taste
Lemon-½
Kasuri Meethi-½tspn



METHOD-

1.in a bowl take all the lentils.

2 mix all and saok them for 1 hour.

3.After that boil the dal with turmeric powder and salt.
Give 3 whistles to pressure cook it.

4.open the cooker lid and mix all properly.

5.Further heat oil or ghee in a kadhai. Add cumin seeds, asofedita.

6.then add curry leaves, green chili and minced garlic.

7.now add onions and saute it for a minute.

8.Stir it properly.

Cook for 1 min

9.now add chopped tomatoes.

10.saute the tomatoes and add salt and turmeric powder.

11.now add boiled Dal(lentils)

Add kasuri Meethi or Coriander leaves. Stir it

12.Now in a small pan heat ghee.

Add cumin seeds.

Further add Asofedita.

Then add chopped garlic , red chili powder and whole red chili. Quickly remove from heat and off the flame

Now pour this tadka over the Dal.

And its ready to eat.

Garnish with coriander leaves and squeeze some lemon juice.

Have it with Rice, Jeera Rice or Roti..
