A plate of Piping healthy hot lentil Paranthas!!
Hello hiveans! How are you all?
Windy weather here in Bengaluru. Its was very chilling morning today. I thought to make some Hot Hot Paranthas for lunch today! But not the normal paranthas. I made Lentil paranthas that i.e split green lentil (Chilke wali Dal ).
It is very popular dish in Rajasthan. We soaked the lentil for 4 hours and then wash it properly then we mix this to the flour with herbs and then knead a dough of it . Last we make paranthas and serve it with Curd(raita) or pickle.
I remember when I used to travel in train for 2 -3 days then my mother used to make these paranthas and we all eat them with pickle and curd. The main thing of making these paranthas was they can last for 2 -3 days.
So today I am going to share a Recipe of Chilke wali moong Dal k paranthe with you all.
Lets see how to make -:
INGREDIENTS
Wheat flour-3cup
Salt-to the taste
Kasuri meethi-½tspn
Red chili powder.
Soaked dal-2cup
Oil- for cooking 2 to 4 tbspn
Water-as needed
METHOD
In a platter take wheat flour. Add kasuri Meethi.

Then add red chili powder and oil.
Now add soaked split green lentil.
With the help of water knead a tight dough. Keep rest for 10 mins
Now divide the dough in equal parts.
Flat the small portion and dust it with some flour.
Roll out with the help of rolling pin in a round shape.
Now heat skillet.
Sprinkle little drop of oil
Now place the rolled parantha on hot skillet.
Cook it and spread oil or Ghee( butter) with spoon on the both sides of paranthas till they are cooked in low to meduim flame
Cook well so that brown dots started to appear.
It ready now.
Now stack all the paranthas in a Casserole so that you can have it warm with garlic chutney or Mango Pickle.
Its very easy and healthy dish to have in winter and monsoon season.
