When I think about the word teachers, the first people who comes to mind are my high school teachers and not my lecturers in the university and this is because I feel that the high school teachers are the ones who had more impact in our lives. For me, they were probably the ones I was more close to.

But when it comes to ranking or grading my teachers from bad to good, I will have to take you guys back to my primary school days. You see I probably have written about this guy here in the past but I honestly can't think of anyone that can take his place when it comes to being the worst teacher ever.

He was so bad and wicked that I probably won't ever be forgetting his name, and his name was Ben (I say "was" because something tells me that he's probably dead because evil people like that shouldn't live that long). Ben was so wicked that he would literally beat the living daylight out of us with his cane simply because we didn't call him by his nickname which was Marco polo the 2nd.

During lunch breaks, he would ask us (the boys) to stand as shield by the door just so that none of the other teachers would see him taking a nap. And then after lunch break, we would all go back into the class with an empty stomach.

I remember being so scared of that dude that one day I refused to go to school because I didn't do my homework. My dad had to escort me to school that day and had a word with him. He eventually got fired many weeks later (maybe a lot of parents complained about him) but to me that wasn't enough and that is why till this day, I still plan on giving Ben the beating of his life if I do get to see him face to face.

Anyways, Ben gets to be at the bottom of my list of worst teachers.

When it comes to the ones who will be at the top of the list of best teachers I've had so far, it probably might be a bit difficult to choose because my time in high school was great. I had a really good relationship with most of my teachers so they were mostly nice to me.

But if I have to choose someone, it will be KC. You see Mr KC was one of those teachers fresh out of the university who had just finished doing his National Youth Service Corp. He was a young guy who even knew my eldest brother because they had both gone to the same high school.

Unlike most of the teachers who acted like douchebags just to show some superiority complex, KC was cool and actually related well with us. He respected us and we reciprocated the kind gesture. He would most times come to our class to hangout with us and then ask us if we were having troubles in any subject at all, then he would proceed to help us out with those problems, while at the same time maintaining his cool.

I remember I and my classmates still remained friends with Mr KC even after we were done with high school until we all eventually went to different universities and then lost contact with Mr KC.

Anyways, Mr KC goes to the top of my list of good teachers and if I was grading him, he would get a 10 over 10. Other teachers really should be like Mr KC because that way, students gets to respect you and not be afraid of you because there's a huge difference between those two.
