Say no to Drugs

Back in the day, whenever I was having a conversation with my dad, he would always tell me that when I eventually got into the university, I would see life for what it truly was. Whenever he made that comment, I always thought maybe he was exaggerating a little bit and was just trying to let me know that school is a dangerous place and I should be careful.

And although that is also true, today's post will mainly be focusing on drugs and how these students abuse it a lot over here.

You see, when I was a kid, my dad would always warn me against going on errands where I was being asked to buy cigarettes. He would always tell me to tell them that I was going to get punished by my dad if I bought those stuff. And these were merely cigarettes which could be found almost at every shop in the street at the time.

Well, following that instruction, amongst other things, kinda made me have this hatred towards smoking, and trust me when I say that hatred has helped my life in a lot of ways, especially over here in school where I have the opportunity to do whatever I want, whenever I want.

One of the many reasons why I'm very grateful I do not smoke or do other form of drugs is because I've seen people take this stuff right in front of me and how they react afterwards.

There's this particular guy at my hostel who whenever I see him, his eyes are always closed, as if he's dozing off even though he's sitting upright and awake. This particular guy would wake up in the morning and go buy all sorts of weed, and after he's done with that, he goes to a pharmacy to get certain drugs that when mixed together would get him so high, that he literally wouldn't be in control of his body.

So after he and his friends finish consuming whatever concoction they had made, they all would look like zombies slowly walking around like they're about to fall the next minute. These guys would spend their last money on these drugs without any plans on what to eat for that day.

All they want to do is get high.

Everytime I see those guys, I thank my stars that I'm not like them and hopefully will never be like them, because the last thing I want to do is get addicted to something like that, that would end up getting me sick if not worse, dead.

So when they finally get high on drugs and weeds, what's their next action or they just enjoy such state of life?
Tertiary School is where youths can do anything they like without anyone to control them...this is why early parental training matters a lot

For any child who cares to still follow parents teaching, he or she will definitely be responsible wherever the person finds himself

or they just enjoy such state of life?

Funny enough, that's actually just it, to stay high. According to them, they enjoy the feeling.

Those people are addicted and I recommend you stay far from those people. If I were in your place, I might choose the location thinking that I may face trouble sometimes for those addicted people as nobody knows when danger comes.

If I tried staying away from everyone who did something irresponsible here, I might end up having no friends at all and that isn't entirely a good thing in a place like this.. I just have my own way of keeping them at bay.
