A Gift and a Curse

Often times, I've always wondered what life as a celebrity would feel like and this is because it has always been something I feel I would want for myself, but then I go online and watch some of these interviews where they ask them how they like the fame and all that, and most times, the response we get from these celebrities isn't exactly what we were expecting, almost like the whole celebrity stuff is more like a curse than a gift.

But funny enough, watching all of that didn't in anyway discourage me from wanting that life for myself because for some reason, I just feel like they're exaggerating the whole thing and it can't always be bad. There are benefits that comes with fame that I'm sure none of them will be willing to give up on anytime soon, they're all just talking about the bad side to make it seem like there's nothing cool about it, or at least that's what I think.

Anyways, focusing on today's contest topic, do I think I can be a social media influencer? The answer is yes and that is because I know that when looking at things like this, you don't only focus on the good side of it because like I said, it has both sides, the good and the bad.. And I might be wrong, but the worse side of being an influencer in today's world is the cancel culture, where everyone scrutinizes everything you do and tries to look for faults in it.

Then we have the hate comments that will always be there no matter how nice of a person you are and some other stuff that I'm probably not aware of because I'm obviously not an influencer. But I guess what that means is that I just have to try to be careful although one can never be too careful all the time, I guess I just have to be lucky then. But if I'm being honest, it's a lot easier said than done.

Also, there are various types of influencers out there who got famous through different kind of niches and some of those niches gets more hate than the others, hopefully I fall on the lesser hate part. Lol

But in as much as it all sounds kinda easy coming from me, I feel like I won't be able to maintain the responsibilities and ethics that are required of an influencer to stay relevant, because some of us might see it as easy work but it's actually not. It's a lot of work because coming up with contents consistently isn't something that is easy to do.

Lastly, if I had the chance to become an influencer, I most definitely would say yes to it because it's the next best step to becoming famous and like I said, people tend to get things easy when they're famous (for the right reasons).

Like if you're an influencer and your dream is to end up an actor, you could get a movie role without having to do much unlike everyone else who would be struggling for that same role because no one knows them. That's one of the benefits and something I most definitely would be looking forward to because that's the industry I hope to end up on, the movie industry.

I think the interesting part will be the cash flowing into their bank accounts.

The life of an influencer is under serious scrutiny by everyone. I just wonder if they are emotionally stable sometimes.

Since you're going for a niche that's less scrutinized then it'll be good 😊
