Stunning Landscapes from theHunter: Call of the Wild

Hello and Welcome back to my blog!

This week's Contest theme by the Gaming Photography Community was fun and easy for me. It was to share Stunning Landscape from your games. I have a lot of landscape photos as I love to take those picture every time I play theHunter: Call of the Wild. But today, I played again to take some new and interesting shots from the latest reserves in Nepal.

Sundarpatan is the latest DLC map in the game released a couple of months ago and is based in Nepal. I have not purchased this map yet, I am still waiting for it to have a sale but you can still play it in multiplayer session (if you can survive the multiplayer issues this game has...lol).

This map feels so close to home. The Himalayan mountains, the treks in the forests, the blooming flowers and the outposts all of them feel like I have seen them all in my treks in Uttarakhand, India. Didn't know Nepal's landscape looked this close to Uttarakhand. It does make sense though, Uttarakhand shares a border with Nepal and has almost the same biomes, trees, mountains etc.

There were a lot of flowers. I loved these a lot with the mountains in the background. Sheru is again photobombing my photos. He wants to be in all the pictures...lol

I have been on some treks and while most of the southern part is covered in thick forest, there are some parts with open meadows and those give beautiful views.

I think the above flowers are supposed to be Rhodedendrons. I have seen them a lot in my travels in the Himalayas. These are very beautiful and are the national flowers of Nepal. Love them!

There were some paddy fields here too just like I have seen in these places. The step farming pattern on these hills looks really pleasing. I tried to get a better angle but the view was blocked from the trees so the above one is the best that I could do. There were some houses at the top of the left hill, which might be a small village. Can you spot it in the next shot?

I will explore this map more someday later. Let me switch the reserve and show you another beautiful map that I love to hunt in. I am talking about the Silver Ridge Peaks, one of my favourite maps in the game. The first photo of the lake is from the same reserve. There are a lot of different lakes on this map and one of the most beautiful is this small lake in the upper regions of the reserve. You will find a lot of Bighorn sheep and bears on this part of the map.

In the plains towards the southern side of the reserve are more flat and open areas with good hunting grounds. You can find a lot of Bisons in this part of the reserve. Can you spot the light effect (Tyndal effect) when the sunlight comes through the clouds? Isn't it cool to be in a video game?

Another beautiful-looking reserve in this game is the Layton Lakes Reserve. It has a lot of water bodies and the colors on this map are really amazing. I will share some of the pictures that I took a few days ago from this reserve. This one is part of the base game and offers some good views.

There are a lot of other reserves with great views. I have shared a lot of them in the past in my blogs. I will share two more random shots from my library. I have collected a lot of good photos from this game.

The above one is a calm sunset in Vurongha Savanna map and the next one is from high up in the northern part of Silver Ridge Peaks. That was a beautiful morning.

I still have a lot more reserves left but maybe I will show them on another post. Let me know which one is your favourite among all of them. Mine would be the Paddy field on that hill in Nepal.

Thanks for reading...

Until the next shot...

Beautiful photographs. It's hard to believe they're from a video game, not the real world. Are they really from a video game or are you trying to make a fool of us (your readers)?

Impressive graphics.

I'm glad you like taking landscape shots hahaha everything prepared you for this moment so you already had a head start. I would love to have the time to bring posts in this community but it's difficult for me, so I'll take care of enjoying the ones you share.
