Road to Champion | Rocket League Gameplay with Commentary

Hello, gamers. I hope you are doing well.

After the recent success of streaming Rocket League from my dying PC, I tried to recreate it and played more of this amazing game. What is Rocket League? I'm glad you asked. It is just a game of soccer or football but with a much bigger ball and you hit the ball with a rocket-powered car. What could go wrong...right?

There are many game modes too. But I prefer the 2v2 or 3v3 (if I play with friends). You can play the less popular Ice hockey or hoops (Rocket League's version of basketball).

My ultimate goal is to reach the Champion League but many hurdles are in the way. The first hurdle is my lack of commitment. After a couple of days of playing seriously, I get back to not taking it that seriously and lose the ranks...lol. In the session, I started with Diamond I Division III which is still far from Champ. There are four divisions per league and I need to cross Diamond 2 and Diamond 3 to reach there... so in total of like 9 divisions and 9 divisions means 18-20 wins in a row which is hardly the case...lol

This was an interesting session, I had a lot of fun and nice moments in this one. All the games were solo queued so there were always chances to match up with bad players.

Some were good goals for me. Look at the above one! It looks easy and simple but getting this ball to hit just hard enough to get over the defender and not over the goal takes a lot of practice.

The start of the session was better than I expected, my teammate was "just better" (in both name and gameplay), along with his help we managed to destroy our opponent with a 6-3 scoreline. A great start to the session. I started at Division III so this was a good start.

But the same player was my opponent in the next two games and I lost one and won the second one which was a close game.

The next game I won by 2-1, that was a great game and my teammate was chickenkiller, never played with him but he was an amazing teammate. Good passing play, giving me proper space and a good defender. This win moved me to division IV which I think is slow. I should have been in this division way early.

The next couple of games were again one win and one loss. So, nothing was gained and finished this session in Div IV only. One division up from where we started so it is a progress.

One of the funnies that happened during this gameplay is seen in the above GIF. My teammate managed to roll the ball in front of the opponent's net and when he was going back to collect the boost or leaving that play, he was bumped by a defender back toward the ball and he managed to score this one. What a lucky goal...lol

It is a bit tough commenting and playing a fast-paced game like this and doing so in a foreign language is even tougher. And you can see me stopping in the middle of the sentences to find words...lol. But I am getting better and with more practice, I will get fluent one day and play Rocket League at my best potential even while doing these videos.

Rocket Pass Updates!

I didn't make much progress to my Rocket Pass tier during this session. It is mainly because most of the challenges were already completed and I am waiting for the next and final stage to unlock so I can complete more challenges and gain more rewards.

Although I have gained enough Credits to buy back the Rocket Pass for the next season!

I still have a couple of challenges left though. But these are only the ones that I don't play often. One of them will be completed by playing one more 1v1 match. I will do it before the end of the season for sure.

I have reached Rocket Pass tier 97 now. The first goal is to reach level 100 and then see what else I can do from there.

Drops and Rewards

I had a lot of unopened rewards so I went on and opened a few of those. You can see what I got if you go to the end of the video.

I opened a Deluxe Drop, a Golden Cup 24 and both of my Golden X-Crate but was very disappointed with the drops. The only good thing I got from those was this rocket boost.

I got a couple of tyres which were both horrible looking. Hate the Yuzo wheels but Chakram is okay, at least I can use it with some builds.

• You played well, but your teammate sucks!
• You didn't lose, the server was laggy!
• Only if you had a better monitor and graphics card!
• Your little brother was playing the match!
• They were Smurfing!
• You didn't sleep for two days straight!
• And the most important one: They were Hacking!
• Your mom called you in the middle of the game!
• Your girlfriend was texting you during the game!
• You were getting death threats from your lender!
• Gaming Gods were angry at you!
