Road to Champion in Rocket League! 2v2 Gameplay and other updates!

Hello, gamers. I hope you are doing well.

Rocket League is a go-to game for me, if I have 20 mins I can boot up Rocket League and play a couple of games. That 20 mins get converted to an hour in the blink of an eye and that's a different problem...lol. Most of my fellow games should already know about Rocket League. The game concept is very simple, scoring goals while controlling a rocket-powered car but you can jump, double jump or dodge, fly using your boost and do all sorts of fancy mechanics using this simple concept.

It is one of the most addictive games and I have spent more than 1200 hours playing it but there is still so far to go and improve one. I have been stuck in the diamond for many months now, most of it is my fault as I don't train and just play for fun. Also, I just go into ranked matches without much warmup and lose a couple of games at the start xD. I am not alone in this league though, almost half of the player base is stuck in Diamond.

But I am close to getting out of Diamond and moving to the next, Champion League. Or I like to think that...lol

I recorded my solo queueing gaming session tonight and want to show you. (Sorry about the video quality)

It was a tough session, was very late in the night here in India so the matchmaking was pretty slow and I had selected the 'recommended' servers but in one of the games, I had like 300 ping and the best thing is I won that game easily...lol

Why is Diamond so competitive, I started at Diamond II Division II and remained in the same division after more than an hour of playing. The first couple of games were so bad as they were just warm-up games for me and I never do well in those games. I might need to play some casual first and then play ranked or I am never getting out of diamond.

I won the third game easily and we partied up to play but lost the next couple of games again. That's how the game has been to me for the past couple of months, you win 1 lose 2, then win 2 and lose 1 and at the end gain no ratings.

I could have stopped at the second last game after I got a nice win but then I queued again and lost the last match which was a close encounter and lost it just by one goal difference.

Rocket Pass Update and new drops

Rocket League's season 12 started on September 6 and will end on Dec 6th, 2023. Still, more than a month to go and I already reached level Rocket pass tier 150. We get randomly painted items now and one of the coolest items is the Sky-Blue colored "Zero's World" Goal explosion.

Along with some premium items we all get some drop boxes too and I ended the session by opening up a couple of Very Rare drops. But the drops were not that impressive, got a wheel named "Vortex", they looked bad. But the "Metallic Pearl" paint finish is not that bad.

I wasn't happy with the very rare drops so I decided to open my rare drops too, I had a whopping 27 drops which I am collecting to open all at once close to the end of this season. But I opened two tonight and got two very rare items including a new car body and a boost.

"Ripper" is the new latest car that got added to my garage. I played with it for a while and customized it to my liking. I like this design, maybe it has the hitbox of Dominous, but I am not sure. In any case, I know I will play a few games with this new car and will get back to Octane...lol
