Opening some Gladius and Chaos Legion Packs after a long time

It has been a long time since I last played Splinterlands. I have been busy with off-chain games and stuff and I can't spare enough time for Splinterlands. However, I opened Splinterlands.com to see what are the changes and new stuff added to the game and I was not surprised to see a limited time sale event for new cards. There have been a lot of new cards and I kind of felt left behind.

I found some 6K odd Glint on my account so I decided to go to the Gwen's Glint shop and get a few reward cards for me. It wasn't a lot of Glint but enough to buy a couple of things.

I had my eyes on the Loot Chests. They were cheap and affordable. I could buy one of each of the Chests and still will be left with some change.

At first, I went with Ultimate Chest thinking it is the best and has the best chances of getting good cards. But I was quite disappointed with the 10 Alchemy Potion Charges that I got.

This was not what I expected, I was running low on potions too but I would much rather prefer cards than potions.

I went on to buy the other loot chests. First major chest and then the Minor chest. You can see what I got from the next screenshots.

Two 'Dark Arborist' were not bad, especially when you think this costed just a thousand Glint, much cheaper than the disappointing Ultimate Chest.

Now, I was left with a mere 816 Glint.

I could only get a rare Card from the 'Rare Draw' and that's what I did. I got another mage from that one.

This was okay, but nothing extra ordinary stuff. There was a 2% chance of a Gold foil from this drop which is too low to expect a gold foil.

As I was out of the Glint I changed my focus to my Packs. I had some Chaos Legion Packs and Gladius Cases.

But I have been saving them and didn't want to open, especially the Chaos Legion Packs. I ended up opening two Gladius Packs.

No Gold Foil in any of them but I liked the 'Quora Towershead'. I have won a lot of games just by using her. The next best one that I could see myself using a lot is the 'Relenor Cleaver' in the second position. Other than that, I am not a big fan of them. It would have been really good to get a Gold foil though.

I wasn't feeling much satisfied so I decided to crack open a Chaos Legion Pack.

This was a good one. I got a gold foil 'Stitch Leech' and a good summoner in the form of Obsidian which I use a lot in my battles. I was tempted to open another pack but I restricted myself. Maybe these Packs will appreciate in value later. I have saved the Chaos Legion pack for a long time... I need to check their value as well. But I won't be surprised to see them getting low in value since the crypto market hasn't been good on the whole Splinterlands and Hive ecosystem.

I hope Splinterlands can reach its former glory. I was drawn to Hive just because of this game and I hope the best for Splinterlands.
