Forza Horizon 4 - Train Vs Car and other events!
Hello and Welcome back to my blog!
There are many cool races and events in Forza Horizon 4, but none more extravagant than the Flying Scotsman Showcase, in which you literally race against a steam engine train.
I love racing against this high-speed train on this beautiful track. There are some cool jumps in this one with slowmos in solo mode. I have rerun it several times just because the track looks very beautiful. I forgot to capture a shot when it goes over a big bridge.
You can see it on the far left in this shot.
You go through tunnels and flyover bridges on this track. A couple of times you cross the track too. Once I tried to stop the car on the track just in front of the train but the train pushed me ahead with ease and threw me off the road. I don't know what I was expecting, maybe a weird glitch or something...lol.
This is not a tough race. I will try to play it on multiplayer next or improve my time on this one. It will be fun to grind a competitive time.
I played a lot of other races too in the middle of just free roaming and enjoying the scenic views.
I switched from Keyboard to Controller too. Thought it would take me a lot longer to get comfortable with it as I played most of the racing games with a keyboard. But it was quite intuitive and fun. Having the throttle control helps to take turns and such. I was surprised to see it make this much change.
One of my favourite activities to do in the game is the stunt jumps. I love them and consistently do the 2 stars but getting the 3 stars on them is a bit challenging.
Another activity I love is racing at night. It adds to the thrill of racing. The dirt tracks are my favourites.
I have been trying to do some online activities too but I am not too fond of them. For the most part, I play it as a casual player just winning races, unlocking more cars and driving mindlessly.
I had to buy a 1972 Land Rover Series III for a weekly Forzathon Challenge. Later I would be able to complete only a couple of those missions.
I went through the upgrades and customised a menu to see what I could upgrade. This was the first ever full upgrade that I did. I bought all the best available parts for this vehicle.
I spent a lot of time in the game taking pictures and playing with the photo mode.
Every season is beautiful but my favourite is autumn and Winter. But the spring is not too far either. A lot of beautiful shots can be captured in this game and I still have a lot more shots to share. I might share them later.
Some of the filters are really cool and I shot some cool shots. Look at this one!
Love the red smoke in this one. Black and Red are such classy colours for these high-speed cars. I have no clue what was that red firefly, was it an explosion or something? But that came out really well.
Thanks for reading!

Quite a good article and quite interesting.

I'd like to see you racing in a gameplay soon, in Forza Horizon 4. That would be great to see how you compete there.
I just recorded something. There is a big 'Memory low' warning but at least you can see it. I am writing a post too. Will share it soon
Racing against a train already sounds insane and that too, riding a buggy? I just loved the buggy.
It's great that you liked the controller even after being a keyboard player which I just can't. I guess, I'd have to play with a keyboard even in PS if I buy a PS someday, lol.
Some photos at the end look fantastic.
I like that event where you have to compete against a train. I imagine that there are many shortcuts and jumps to be able to beat the train.
Yeah, the train has a weird path. All twists and turns otherwise I think it is going at much higher top speed than my buggy.
They are fantastic vehicles, although I think the sedan has a lot of led lights.... Hahaha
haha...that one is my favorite. I put some more money on it to upgrade its performance. Worth it!
