Caturday - JJ the Cat's Adventure...
It's been a long winter for our cat JJ. We have still been getting freezing temperatures at night but when the sun is out there is lot's of heat in it and it draws JJ outside.

There was so many smells now that the snow was starting to melt and JJ had to take them all in.
JJ Smelling Branch and Marking It By Rubbing His Cheek On It
Usually JJ doesn't like to get his feet wet or have snow on them but now he just wanted to go exploring and he was climbing up snowbanks and didn't seem to care about the snow.

At first he did try to stay on the dryer spots.

Then he just strode right onto the snow. The other day it was more frozen so it was easy to walk on but today it had started to melt so it was softer and JJ sunk in a bit.

Then he got really adventuresome and went leaping through the snow starting to climb the trees.

He hung out there seemingly unconcerned about the snow - it was good to see him so perky!

Another spot he wanted to check out was the pathway that was opening up around the shop. He walked on the dry part for a bit then...

After his adventure in the snow in the bush he came back to check out the rock pile that was closer to the house and the snow had melted off.

There was little bits of green grass there which JJ liked to chew on. Cats and dogs will eat the grass to clean out their stomach. This was the first bits of grass JJ got to chew on.

Finally JJ was happy to stay on the fence up on the deck out of the snow - basking in the sun.

This is my Amazing Nature Contest April 2022 - #04 entry. See details here
The photos were taken with my Canon PowerShot SX60 HS.
Thank you for entering the competition.
Even the seemingly most ordinary grass is worth exploring. And our "pets" (unlike us humans) know that well :-)
The most amazing thing was JJ actually enjoying walking on snow! Wonderful post about his adventures. :))
Cute cat!!!! 😀
