Close contacts are highly contagious. But I am forewarned and prepared to handle it!
My post for SMAP contest - ROUND 194. For this week topic 'GREEN' I made a brief selection of four photos: pigeons, sparrows and ducks.
Perhaps drakes are the only birds that I see within the city limits that have such a bright green color in their plumage. Look - the drakes have set up a real Men's Club! And when the females try to swim closer, to listen to what kind of conversations they have here, they chase them away! (Just kidding! But there really are a lot of drakes in one point of space, it would be interesting to know why.) The water seems dark green, but it's just a reflex, a reflection of the green of the trees.
A very green and lonely sparrow.
A dove tries to cosplay as a drake; the result is not very impressive, but still, a beautiful outfit.
I chose this photo for the challenge. If you thought this pigeon got to the vet and is getting medical care, then no, it's not the case 😆 these hands are actually mine, and it is my dad took the photo while I had a close conversation with this pigeon. The green background is a garage wall; very handy it happened to be green). I caught this pigeon myself with bare hands! (Well, the gloves don't count... these are medical disposable gloves, I put them on specifically to touch the pigeon and not get infected with anything, so that my hands remain clean, this was just a precaution).
Now thats all, thank you for a visit and support. 😘

What beautiful photographs, dear friend @portal-xenna
I love the color of the ducks' plumage.
You do well to protect your hands when handling the pigeon, one never knows what types of diseases they can transmit
Have a great day
Oh, drakes are really showing their qualities.😀
Lovely images with green background!
