Grum Flameblade, Bloodlust activated, True power of Grum, Social media Challenge

Hello Everyone this time i want to write about Social Media Challenge, i choose Grum Flameblade monster from Element Fire. I used my Scholar Account, battle in Gold League and modern format.


Theme: Grum Flameblade
Edition: Chaos Legion
Rarity: Legendary
Element: Fire
Attack: Meele Attack
Abilities: Bloodlust, Void Armor, Void, and Giant Killer


Strengths :

  • Big meele damage of 4, Big armor and HP.
  • Bloodlust, with this ability Grum can turn into a very scary monster.

Weaknesses :

  • Slow only 1 speed, this card when attacking is easy to avoid, because slow speed Grum usually will attack The last after receive many attack, if the enemy bring monster with great attack and all monster attack it, sometimes Grum not have a chance to attack, he already died.

  • Equal Opportunity, All units gain the opportunity ability which allows them to attack the unit with the lowest health on the enemy team.

Strategy

First, let's look at the ruleset

  1. Can choose 3 elements Fire, Earth, Death, and all monsters have the opportunity skill (attacks monsters with the lowest HP from any position),
    - Earth has a very large magic attack but its HP is not that big so it's easy to die when attacked. By using Queen Mycelia, you can get additional armor on all monsters.
    - Death has great arrow damage but no armor and not much HP.
    - Fire has the biggest meele attack some have big armor and HP. The weakness is having a large mana requirement and mostly slow speed, so it often misses when attacking.

  2. Mana cap 58 is High Mana battle, so we can choose monsters with large mana without worrying about mana shortages.

Here in my opinion because High Mana the best choice is Fire because the monsters can survive longer when attacked compared to the other 2 elements and attack with greater damage than other elements.
To deal with attacks that often miss due to lack of speed, we use summoner Conqueror Jacek which gives an additional +2 speed and other skill Jacek have which is important for this battle is piercing. When an attack hits the enemy's armor and there is still damage left, it will hit the HP. For example, our monster with 4 damage attacks an enemy monster with 3 armor and 1 HP, then when it hits the enemy monster it will kill it because our total damage is 4.

My Line Up


SUMMONER
Conqueror Jacek
Summoner from Fire the most important skill which very usefull in this battle is +2 speed and Piercing
Tusk the Wide - First Position
I put it in the first position because have high HP as tanker and atacker which have ability to defend againts magic attack too, Incase enemy using Obsidian as their summoner.
Legionnaire Alvar - second Position

I put in this position because he have big armour and void armor, with the ruleset it can be attacker and 2nd tanker as well, demoralize is very usefull skill to reduce meele attack of the enemy
Grum Flameblade - Third Position

Position third to make sure it's safe from monster attack, we need to keep Grum away from enemy attacks as long as possible, to give him a chance to activate the Bloodlust skill.
Supply Runner - Fourth Position (Attacker)

To give all friendly monster speed +1 so maybe can attack first if the speed high enough and kill enemy monster before they attacked our monster.
Disintegrator - Fifth Position (Attacker)

Because the Disintegrator has the armor it placed in the fifth position as 2nd tanker for backline, the demoralize skill is also very useful for reducing melee enemy damage.
Forgotten One - Sixth Position (Attacker and tanker backline)

The Forgotten One has skill retaliate, incase it attack by sneak monster have chance to attack back by 50%, he have big armor and HP.

Battle Review

Round 1 :

Supply Runner is the first monster to die in this round, because it has the lowest HP and immediately attacked by enemy monsters.
Here Grum activates his Bloodlust skill by killing the enemy Alvar Legionnaire. The debuff due to demoralization from the enemy's Legionnaire Alvar is canceled and we get our attack back by 1.


Round 2 :

Here we see again that Bloodlust from grump is re-activated by killing Lira the Dark on the enemy's side, after 2x killing the enemy Grump has become a monster that is hard to beat, Grump now has attack 6, speed 5, armor 7 and HP 15.


Round 3 :

Once again Grum activated his Bloodlust skill by killing Djinn Muirat. Our Tusk the Wide monster dies in this round, so the Inspire skill which adds a Meele Attack by 1 is cancelled, the Meele Attack on our side is reduced by 1.


Round 4:

In this round, Grump activated his Bloodlust skill by killing Cursed Windeku and managed to avoid an attack from Harklaw who only has speed of 2.


Round 5-6:

The Disintegrator activates his Trample skill after killing Harklaw and attacks the enemy behind Magi Necrosi. Grum's final attack was on Magi Necrosi and killed him, so victory was on our side.

Question of the Day

  • Did your strategy work?
    My strategy for defeating enemies with Grum's bloodlust skill was successful, you can see the Grum stats already increase a lot due to the Bloodlust skill, It make Grum a monster that can kill his enemies easily but is difficult to kill.
    For this strategy to work I think we need luck as well, if we are lucky enough and every time Grump attack kills an enemy then victory can be ensured on our side.


  • What will you try differently next time?
    I'm going to replace the Supply Runner because he has a small HP in the rules opportunity he becomes the target of attacks from many monsters, so he just attack once and he dies immediately.
    I will replace it with one of these monsters :
    • Tenyii Striker (Meele, has high speed and dodge skills)
    • Molten ash Golem (Range, has high HP and can reduce Meele attacks by 1)
    • Lava launcher (Range, has big armor and can stun)
    • Countess sinash (Range, has camouflage skill, can't be attacked unless in first position)


  • Do you like Grum Flameblade? Why or why not?
    I frankly don't like Grum Flameblade because of its low speed, only on certain rulesets I use it such as opportunity, sneak, Meele monsters can attack from any position, usually i used it in medium/high mana battle. Even though Grum is actually a tanker, he dies easily when attacked by range / meele monsters, because of his low speed all normal monster attacks will hit him.
    So in my opinion a more appropriate use Grum in this ruleset is to put it in row 3/4, giving grump a longer chance of survival so that bloodlust can be active.
    I feel he is more reliable when fighting magic monsters because he has void skills and void armor.
