5 Minute Freewrite: **** Stripes****
Liam and Sara were two key chemical engineers who spent most of their time in the laboratory testing new fabrics that clothes were made of. They got married after a few years working for a famous fabric company. They had their first child together and they were happy. The society they lived encouraged them to wear clothing with stripes, and many corporations tried to come up with the best quality of fabric to print stripes. The rich always wore clothing with stripes on them, it was a sign of their wealth.
The company asked Liam to come up with a new type of fabric, one in which stripes would look luxurious. They wanted to make the most expensive fabric.
Liam made a mistake mixing the material, and this resulted in a chain of bad events for the company he worked. The fabric didn't turn out to be of a good quality. In fact, it was harmful to wear. The company went bankrupt because of one mistake Liam did. Liam and Sara both lost their job. Sara was fired because the company thought she “might” have something to do with Liam's mistake. Liam couldn't find a job because of his one mistake, but Sara fortunately did and became the main provider of their family of three.
An unfortunate scene that Liam lived through, that counts as a stripes.
