5 Minute Freewrite: **** Standing in Silence ****

Mateo was a biologist who worked on how to extend human's longevity and cancerous cells. He worked mainly on blood cells. He had some good ideas and got financial aid from big corporations to work on those ideas. He had a team helping him, but the major breakthroughs were all due to his presence.

One night, as he was working alone in the lab, he stumbled upon something strange. It was late at night, and he didn't get much sleep or food at that point. It was because he wanted to work hard to achieve his goals. He looked at the results of one of his experiments and he was shocked. He made a breakthrough. He couldn't wait to tell his colleagues the good news.

But wait a minute… Now that he achieved his goal, doubt came to his mind. Such a breakthrough was really important to everyone.

He stood silently there and thought about all the possible reactions about his discovery. How the course of human history would be changed. But it was also the question of politicians. How would they react to this discovery? Will they even allow people to know about it? Will he still be alive?

He had to make a significant decision. Either share the results or destroy them. After thinking quietly about it, he decided to share the results with everyone. But, he was afraid of his unknown future.

Surprisingly, everyone got really happy with the results and nothing bad happened to him. He even got a lot of money for his discovery and was considered to get a Nobel Prize. It needed more work, but indeed it was a breakthrough. Mateo was glad he didn't destroy the results. Sharing is indeed caring.
