Many years ago, my family started to adopt the custom of going to an uncle's river house after the year had ended, the whole family would go to enjoy a totally different atmosphere.

It is clear that many of the members of my family spent time together and others with the family I had formed, on many occasions we played family games, we also sat down to talk, the cousins went to the river to sin, while cousins and some aunts stayed bathing in the pool that had the river house, the little ones stayed watching the different species of animals that my uncle had in his care.

I remember that the river house looked like a small paradise and everyone who visited the house fell in love with the place because of the very pleasant atmosphere it offered, it also had a variety of fruit plants, such as mango, Merey, coconut, lemon among others, as I said that was a piece of paradise.

I especially began to bring some friends, to enjoy all the beauty that the place and nature offered us, wow! my uncle had and has very well kept all the land where the house is located, not only my family and some friends of mine went there, also on several occasions was the governor of the state and other political figures of the State of Sucre, where I live.

As I said in one of the many times I went with some friends, many of them did not even want to leave the place, my uncle since childhood likes to have animals to care for and have different fruit plants, when he reaches adulthood he decided to buy the land and prepare it to plant and care for animals, he made all the legal permission requested by the state to have the different species to care for, my uncle is a faithful defender of animals, he can not find a wounded animal because he takes it to heal and care for it. I admire and respect my uncle, his name is Ulisés Paván and he is very well known here in the city of Cumaná.

Well I think I deviated a little off topic and I apologize for that, after my family adopted that date to create a family tradition, I then with my friends also created a tradition of friendship to go all carnival dates to the river house to relax from city life, oh I forgot the river house is in a town called San Juan and wow it is a beautiful town and its people are nice and friendly.

My family has had a tradition before this, one of them that I still remember with great happiness, is when we used to travel to an island called Chacopata, in that island there was a town of only 10 houses, the island is moderately large and the few inhabitants were treated like families, We would arrive at the house of one of my grandfather's friends and we would stay for a whole month, an anecdote that I have was when I was about 8 years old, once I was with a cousin of mine, we were bathing on the beach with a raft of anime and without realizing it the waves began to take us and I quickly jumped in, When I got to the shore and turned around, my cousin had stayed mounted and was already too far away, so I ran to the house to warn the adults, my grandfather's friend started the engine of a boat and set sail to look for him, when he brought him back about 5 minutes later, my cousin arrived crying and scared. The other tradition is when we traveled to a town called Guamache and we spent 3 weeks there, the anecdote in this one is that when I was 10 years old, I took my family friend's shotgun and I was about to shoot a pig and my grandfather discovered me and prevented it from happening, I remember that they scolded me and placed the shotgun in a locked room.

To this day we only keep the tradition of the river house, the tradition of Chacopata and Guamache we do not follow it because of the death of my grandfather, you know to be honest I miss my grandfather and the traditions we had when he was alive, I only have the very good memories of those moments. Well I think I better leave it here, there will be time to tell you a little more of those moments of family and friendship that I enjoyed.
