How I love Wednesdays with a great walk in life literally and figuratively. It has been a while since I had my #wednesdaywalk.

I really missed it so much, but today, I am having a wonderful Wednesday walk all around the airport. It was a wonderful night at a perfect moment. And here is what happened to my day, wherein a mysterious reflection was chasing me.

How was your Wednesday walk?

Earlier, we were heading to the airport for a very important person (shall I call it VIP) to arrive. The travel was from Manila to Cagayan de Oro City, taking the last flight at 5:50 PM. So, the plane was expected to arrive in the airport at 7:25 PM.

From home, we left our place at around three o’clock in the the afternoon. When we arrived in the city, there was a heavy traffic which made me bored and tired. And after three long hours of travel, we safely arrived at the airport at exactly 6:05 PM.

When we arrived to our destination, I felt dizziness and I was even very sleepy, so I was not in the mood to go out from the car. I was really tired and I just wanted to rest.

However, when I saw the beautiful night sky, I was struck by the captivating horizon that graciously surrounded me. I felt so relaxed and very relieved as I watched it from the tinted window.

While on our way, we ordered meals at a food chain with a thought of having dinner at the airport. Aside from feeling
tired, I felt hungry as well because that was a long trip from our place. I had eaten my dinner inside the car, and after I was full, I took a walk all around the airport, with a thought of going through the toilet.

As I was passing through the area, I had took some photos of my simple walk.

The airport was not crowded, and it was very clean and peaceful. It was a great walk all around as I was passing by the arrival area, going to the toilet. And here are some of the shots that I had taken.

On my way to the toilet, I noticed different signages.

One thing that I noticed was the observation deck. How I wish I could go there, but I am surely restricted.

After I went to the toilet, I was capturing the beautiful views and landscapes.

Since we arrived earlier than expected, I took the opportunity to walk around the airport. The night was very calm and the Moon was so bright.

While I was continuously walking and taking random shots everywhere, I noticed something in front of me. Can you guess what is it?

My reflections in a frame were so bold…

Life exists with both light and reflection. Perhaps it was my own reflection chasing after me.

It seems so mysterious having shadows of my own in a frame, but it is the reality. Scientifically, when a light cannot pass through a certain object, it creates clear dark shadows from opaque objects, and its size would always depend at an angle wherein the light falls on a particular object.

But in this particular image, instead of having two reflections, I only got one.

Why does this happened? Do you know why? Perhaps this is a simple shadow formed from a light with point source.

Nevertheless, Physics is behind all
of these wherein the light cannot pass and it is being blocked in a straight path through objects, and that the sources could either be nonpoint or point.

At around 8:30 PM, we left the airport with a beautiful glimpse of the surroundings. While on our way, a heavy rain poured, but we are so thankful for arriving back home safely.

Even without thinking of having a shadow hunting, through walking around the airport, it made me an idea to catch my very own shadow. And here are another shots taken randomly at the pavement.

I never expected that I could catch my shadow earlier. I went in the airport for a reason and end up with a beautiful purpose. Honestly, this made my day. How I wish I could chase my shadows once more.

My wonderful experiences of my reflections today made me realized that whenever we would feel alone and lonely, we all have that delightful shadows from within that warms our heart and soul, for this is something that never let us away in the darkest hour.

Indeed, our shadows never leave us literally and figuratively. It is one of the amazing products of light which keeps a beaming smile in my life. Cheers to more shadow hunting, but I so love to chase my own humble shadow.
