My Favorite Book
What is your favorite book? I may have read many books in various fields but I would always go back to the books that were not discussed in schools a long time ago, not to mention my favorite financial literacy books.
Yes, financial literacy was not taught in schools back then, but in today’s generation, some schools are taking this as a part of the instruction.
Perhaps I have these books at home and they always tell me that just as how I handle my valuable kinds of stuff, organizing and managing my finances is as important as the other fundamentals in life.
“Rich Dad Poor Dad” is my favorite book.
I remember when I had my post-graduate studies, a part of it was discussed in one of the reports in class, but I have already bought the book and read it just before it was discussed by my Professor.
What I love about this book is speaking about the reality between the rich and poor especially in handling finances.
I grew up without a silver spoon and my parents were more focused on working hard so I could finish my studies and have my profession. But there is a part of the book highlighting this scenario that should have been done in reality and I admit I was one.
According to the author, Robert T. Kiyosaki, in his book, "Rich Dad Poor Dad", the main reason why many are struggling financially is because of spending more years in school without learning about how to handle finances which then results to work for money but do not even know to do things so the money will work for all.
In every point of life, success does not simply happen through miracles, anyone creates it with a purpose. Although the past is not ventured with so many insights that handling finances is most essential in life for it was not taught in schools during the old times, this is not an excuse to someone who is not liable for the outcomes of his or her finances on how spending and saving were managed.
After reading the book, I have realized that I need to do more and if only I have known this book when I was younger, surely, it would guide me to my future, but I believe it is not too late.
And that, this is a big challenge for me to look for ways how to make money work passively. The bottom line states that do not mainly depend on one single income, instead, look for more ways to generate more passive income.
I firmly believe that the more I learn to value my lifestyle, the more I could do great things that would always reflect on what I have done to improve myself. And, the key is to not stop and never quit while making everyday progress with a big smile and a delightful heart as I continue my journey with an enthusiastic move.
My favorite book in financial literacy lies with other essential books and they were displayed on a corner so that whoever visits our house, will have the chance to read them.
