Fruitful Mini Garden!
I do remember the moment when I shared my newly planted crops in my previous post a few months ago. And now, I am enjoying the fruits of my mini garden. How fast the day changes that it seemed like yesterday when I planted these lemons, chili peppers, and lemongrass.
In light of the Department of Education's Advisory to have distance learning today to give learners enough time to complete pending outputs, assignments, tasks, and projects, distance learning was implemented and I had to work from home. In the afternoon, after I am done with my schoolwork, I have the chance to stroll around in my mini garden at home and was so lucky to see the colorful fruits that made my day.
Aside from seeing the fruits, I was even more happy to have the golden hour at the moment. Before I harvested the green and red chili peppers, I took quick shots of the crops while capturing the sunset. How I love the view and the reflection of the golden Sun on the fence was so extraordinary. I had a selfie in front of the chili peppers too.
It is so hot here in the Philippines now since it is summertime. I thought my crops were already dying but I am happy to see that they are still bearing fruits, not to mention the lemons had many fruits to harvest.
The lemons are planted in front of our house. Despite living in a subdivision, limited space was not a hindrance for me because I maximized the space at home to plant spices, fruits, and vegetables. It is a wonderful feeling harvesting from my mini garden and not buying at the market anymore considering the inflation, making the prices too high.
Adjacent to the lemon plant is the lemongrass. Last time, I only had a lot of it so I decided to plant near the fence. And now it has many leaves. I always use it in marinades and even in cooking soups and sauteed dishes. I so love its aromatic smell.
I read about lemongrass back then and that it was an antimosquito plant which is why I wanted to plant more of it at home. And yes, aside from it, medicinal purposes have been known for lemon grasses here in the Philippines.
As I checked my lemon grass, there were no pests. What is good about my plants is that they are away from any products that could harm health. And I must say that they are all planted in the soil without sprays.
Meanwhile, I started harvesting lemons. I had several pieces and I decided to make lemon juice out of it. How lucky I am to have a fruitful lemon plant that I could harvest at any time since it is always available at home.
Excited as I was, I also decided to harvest the red and green chili peppers. I also give some to my neighbors since I harvested more. Whenever I have a harvest despite how small or big the reap may be, I always give some of it to my neighbors.
And here are the fruits of my labor. Finally, I enjoyed harvesting the fruits. I have saved a penny in buying from the market as well as saving time to go there.
I am truly so delighted to have these blessings today as I am so surprised that they continue bearing fruits despite the hot season. I am looking forward to planting and harvesting more crops from my mini garden. Perhaps my harvest for today made my day and my heart leaped up for joy.

The garden looks truly exceptional. I particularly like the chili plant, lemon tree, and others. I wanted to plant them in my garden at home but couldn't manage it. However, I did plant some tomato bushes there.
I appreciate you for your good remarks at my mini garden. Dwelling in a subdivision never hinders me from planting crops. And I am truly happy about my Mini harvest. Thank you, friend.
