Finding Solace in a Vietnamese Cafe!
Xin chao cac ban!
I mentioned in my previous post that I found Vietnam in the Philippines, not to mention Julio Pacana Street, Licoan, Cagayan de Oro City, and it is just a walking distance from the Southern De Oro Philippines College.
Perhaps amidst the hustle in the city, I found solace in the cozy atmosphere of Viet Man Cap Phe, and it felt like I was transported to the amazing streets of Hanoi, Vietnam.
When I entered the cafe, what caught my attention was the colorful and vivid Vietnamese ambiance along with the fantastic decor, furniture, and all. There were a few customers when we entered, so I got the moment to have a candid shot of its beautiful atmosphere as I wore the Vietnamese traditional costume.
The cafe may not have a wide space but it could occupy up to 16 I have seen from the signage that they are open from Mondays to Saturdays, 6 AM to 8 PM, and they are closed every Sunday. It is the only Vietnamese Cafe in Cagayan de Oro City. And that, there is no need to go to Vietnam just to experience the Vietnamese foodies.
After I had quick snapshots, I asked the staff how to order, and she said that it was self-service, so I went to the counter and looked at their menu. They had a variety of coffee at very affordable prices such as Bac Xiu or white coffee, egg coffee, Ca phe sua, and more. And they also serve a variety of Vietnamese snacks, such as Pho bho, stir fry noodles, and Bahn Mi.
I was so amazed to see a freedom wall at the counter. I had taken a pink sticky note and placed a note on the wall near the counter. While choosing for my orders, I enjoyed reading the notes of others.
As much as I wanted to order the Vietnamese coffee and snacks, I ordered the Cucumber Lemonade and Cheese rolls instead since I wanted some refreshments. My friend who was with me loved to order this too so we ended up ordering the same snacks the other day. And while the staff was preparing our orders, I captured many beautiful shots inside.
While the staff was preparing the snacks we had ordered, I found the foodies so aromatic and I felt hungry. I truly found solace in this cozy spot and I felt like being in Vietnam. We had a short conversation with the staff and she told me that the owner of the cafe is working there which is why she built a business inspired by Vietnam’s vibrant culture.
The snacks that I ordered were so delicious not to mention that a cheese-lover like I would never cease to finish all the bite-size cheese rolls that tasted so good. And the cucumber lemonade blended so well and even quenched my thirst.
Honestly, I so love everything about the cafe. From the cozy atmosphere to the tasty Vietnamese food, I felt like I was in Vietnam. I wanted to visit the Viet Man Ca Phe once more and I would like to experience their taste of culture on every plate like never before.

PinkLady at it again!
I kept inhaling and exhaling as I scrolled through the pictures. The scenery is colorful. The burst of yellow(it should have been pink, don't you think?😅) was soothing. It's just a happy color.
The snacks looks yummy.
You sure know how to treat yourself😁
Yeah, the colorful and vibrant scenery truly made my day. I hope to visit a Japanese version with my favorite Sakura. Hehe. Thanks much dear friend.

Wow! It’s the only one in town? Nice concept though! I also want to try Vietnam cuisine next time. If you go next time, try their egg coffee. They say it’s like the best in Vietnam.
Yes, witty. It is just near the College I am connected with this summer. They have the Egg Coffee. Heheh. I kept on coming back for the cheese rolls. But I wanted to try next time for the Vietname cuisines. Just got home. !LUV !LADY
