Feeling Happy For The Tasty Surprise

I felt surprised by the heartwarming gesture my students were always showing me, even if there was no special occasion. I admit that I felt appreciated in the form of a tasty surprise by placing them on my table without knowing it.

And that I never expected to receive different kinds of tasty sandwiches from my dear students. They were the ones who made them. Perhaps it was a great surprise because I was not expecting it on one fine afternoon while working in the school.

I was teaching a class in another room when my students carefully arranged so that the letters "MAAM" were spelled out in one of the pinwheel sandwiches they gave me. I love how they placed the words in a fantastic arrangement on the sandwich filled with ham and cheese.

Although their sandwiches were part of their performance tasks for the Technology and Livelihood Education subject, I felt valued for making an effort to specially design it with the words “MAAM” to know that they made it for me with love and care.

Thinking about the thoughtful gesture they made for me, I was overwhelmed and felt so happy with a grateful heart. At the back of my mind is a thought of feeling appreciated, which was so touching.

Meanwhile, I looked at each sandwich and captured them with big smiles. I could not help but feel touched as the sandwiches were in various presentation styles that made me happy for a while. I love how my students blended the sandwiches with other sidings.

I must say that the sandwich that my students made was both a work of the heart and a work of art. My students filled the sandwiches with different layers of fresh vegetables, homemade sauce, and savory beef. They had tried making a perfect sandwich, even at a young age.

My students combined the sandwiches with delicious chips and fries at the sides for a beautiful presentation. There was also a mini umbrella in a yellow color that added an attractive appearance to the sandwich that they had made. And what I loved the most was the presence of a Cheese overload.

As for me, the sandwich they made reflected their commitment to putting their heart into creating beautiful and delicious sandwiches in many forms, and the feeling of happiness was more than I could have ever imagined.

When I took a bite of one of the sandwiches, I was genuinely amazed by how it was made by each one of them because the flavor was just right to my taste, and it had a pleasant texture. Indeed, the sandwiches made by my students were full of love and care.

And I felt so blessed to have good students like them in a public school in my country, the Philippines. They were all sweet, caring, and loving. Perhaps it was another memorable moment in my teaching profession, which made my day brighter.
