In Good and Bad .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 148
I know that many of my followers who are not involved in this WORKERBEE pool just skip these "report posts" as they expect to see just a bunch of numbers from spreadsheets... Usually, when others are doing these kinds of posts it is like that, but I always like to add some additional value to the readers... Sometimes, that's not an easy task, especially when you are writing almost daily a few weeks in a row... And I said a few months ago that I would not do that to myself... How naive was I... 😃

I wasn't too inspired to write today, but this post has to go out as delegators to the pool deserve transparency and reports about their earnings, so here we are... Luckily, I was reading a few interesting posts (and comments) here on HIVE and found two comments that made me think...
One was by @blind-spot on my yesterday's post where he said:
I agree with chasing Apr sentiment. Unfortunately it has become a trend in the general cryptospace. Quick profits are overvalued. The real profits are in the long run where value is created.
and the other one was by @seckorama, on this post:
I can agree with everything, maybe you should mention diverzification to, I mean never invest everything in one business...
While it seems that these two comments have nothing in common, they do have... Just two days ago, the crypto markets were crazy, BTC was going up, Solana went up even more than before, and even ETH moved up... but HIVE (and many H-E, layer 2 tokens) moved just a little... In those moments, doubts in Hivians were rising... Stories about powering down, quitting, and going into some new shiny tokens that "have a lot of potentials", became reality... We could hear stories about the next "Hive killer" blockchains... That's exactly what Blind-spot was saying in his comment... People are jumping to the next "big meme token" that will bring them better APR, or better speculation opportunities...
And then, we come to the comment by seckorama (nothing wrong about the comment, it just reminded me about the diversification), where people mention diversification as their "Bible", without knowing the real meaning of diversification (again, he didn't say that, it was just the word that triggered my thoughts)...
Diversification isn't your selling good, long-term tokens and buying 10 different shittokens for the future... Diversification is buying tokens with different risk ratios, creating a good balance between your long-term portfolio and your short-term (speculative) portfolio, with an accent (bigger percentage) on the long-term tokens...
I'm the first who made that mistake a few years ago, thinking how having 10 different shittokens will "keep me safe" from all the bad things that can happen... lol... Don't make the same mistake as I did... 🙂
Back to the Workerbeee report numbers! We were a bit unlucky this week as we mined 23 tokens less than last time...
We lost 1 small delegation during the last week, but we got some delegation from existing members, so we are more-less at the same place where we were a week ago... Thanks for your trust!
In the last 7 days, we mined 107 BEE tokens in total!!!
This POOL doesn't have fees and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!
What about the bonus tokens?
Today's BONUS rewards will be paid in the INDEX tokens which are exactly what their name says, the token "backed" by the mix of selected Hive-Engine tokens... By holding them, you can receive dividends as some of the tokens from the mix are paying rewards... The token itself is one of the sub-projects of the @ctptalk guys, @jongolson and @blainjones... There will be distributed 35 INDEX tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
As always, in the end, let's give the exact numbers for this week... There will be distributed 107 BEE tokens and 35 INDEX tokens as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 7.722%, and when we added the bonus it went up to 9.296%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens at the moment of creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

I was doing daily posts 2-3 years ago, but I stopped as I just couldn't do quality posts so often and stay "yourself"... At least, it didn't work for me... 🙂
There is this joke I have with my friends (that usually happens with Hive price) that if BTC goes down, hive pumps up and when btc goes up, Hive stays stable.
That's what me and my friends have noticed, it's not always accurate, but it really often plays out like that.
Hehehe... It does happen like that sometimes... Hive is doing completely different than other cryptos, except when we have huge dumps of BTC, like it was today...

I haven't joined the pool yet kind of need my workerbees till i have built up enough.
It is right what you imply we should not put all our eggs in one basket and many people should be aware they could suffer from SOS = Shiny object syndrome i don't think these will change 😎

Guess if we stay consistent though, maybe others will to, thats the way i look at it which is why i intend to focus around Hive as consistent as possible and dig in. I love supporting people so the We Are Alive Tribe community made sense for me here.

I saw that we have PEPE here on HIVE... Is there any interesting tokenomics around it? Why do you think that it has potential?
Very high burn rate, consistent posting and support, contests/games, tribe collaborations (alive, lolz), liquidity pool (PEPE:SWAP.HBD), NFT's. There's some talk about more pools, tipping token, staking rewards... all sorts of fun stuff. It's good to get in early while it's super inexpensive.

I think diversification is being understood differently in terms of Hive and H. E. and the cryptoverse in general. It's a topic to be discussed in on its own.

I think it's tough. Too much diversification is bad because you are spread too out. I think it's better to focus on a few core ones that you can keep track of and do research on.

Is there such a thing as diversification within crypto? I understood the crypto market derives its value from BTC.
That's a good point of view and I would agree with you if we were discussing this 2-3 (or more) years ago... These recent volatile movements of Bitcoin prove that things are changing... Despite BTC stagnating or going down, we had some cryptos going up, especially those who have use-cases OUTSIDE crypto... and that narrative is coming, which should further "decouple" certain tokens from BTC...
Diversification is good especially when you are able to invest in the right tokens
There are so many shitty tokens out there that will just waste your money

Investing in other coins is not a bad idea.
Risk, making wise and safe decisions is always applicable in crypto.

You are not the only one who made that mistake. Millions of people did at their early days on crypto
It's not that nobody is doing it right now... The only difference is that those who are doing it now will know their mistake in a year or two...

It seems only strong people have the willpower not to jump from coin to coin chasing profit, once they learn this is a mistake. I've been "preaching" against this a couple of times as well.
It's hard to avoid that mistake... Like I said in the post, I did it, and I suppose you did it too, and many others... The thing is to LEARN and don't do the same again over and over again... :)
Yep, in 2018 I was a champion at jumping from coin to coin. In the end, nothing good came out of it.
It's so curious to me to hear about people losing faith in Hive, powering down, and leaving for 'something better'. To me that shows their primary motivation. I clearly saw Hive's massive potential and sovereignty-driven technological elegance as soon as I got here over two years ago, and I've been all in for the long haul ever since. Most crypto projects are not worth people's time. There are a handful of excellent ones, though. While my main focus is on Hive, I'm active on two other sovereignty-driven blockchains as well, Bastyon and Qortal. It was actually from assets that I made on Bastyon that I was able to do my massive powerup to dolphin level in the last #HPUD.
Even though I'm not in your pool, I do still appreciate seeing your reports. I like knowing about the amazing things happening on Hive! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
This sounds cruel and harsh, but you are right... Most crypto projects are garbage... And unfortunately, a lot of them are nice coated garbage and people do lose money investing in them...

Certainly. Bastyon functions by nodes, but they do have a website, too. Qortal is a whole different animal, and is basically a new version of the internet. No, it's not the same... WORKERBEE token is a different token and it "can't be earned" as you can only buy it on the market...
