Happy new week to you all and happy Needleworkmonday, hope you all had a blissful and fun weekend, nice to meet you again in @Needleworkmonday community, i will be sharing with you all on how i cut a simple gathers dress for my baby girl to change her wardrobe which is a Sundays outfit.

I feel so excited each time i made something beautiful for my daughter, this time around was like a special moment of my life which i haven't great in making my baby's outfit before, although she's 1 Year old now, and i was waiting for the great moment that she will start working by her own self, as we all know that the beauty hand work of a tailor or seamstress in making a baby's outfit shows when the baby work by their own self, since she's making a move on her working step, then i think for a new outfit style to give to her, of all the outfit that i sewn for her i haven't sew a gathers style in Ankara fabric before, so i came up with the style.

let's get to the Procedure

I firstly start with the cutting of the gathers, the reason why i start with gather is because the fabric isn't enough, so i have to cut oit the gathers then if the remaining one will not enough for me to cut the halfe length then i ues black to combine, 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂, some time a seamstress have to use sence in sewing to come uo nice and beautiful, so i fold the fabric by two then i cut out 30 inches both front and back.

After cutting them out i now fold the back side in two equal part then i cut them in to two for the gathers so i wll be able to put a zip to it, after that go ahead and stitch a gathers two lines on it and gathers them properly.

After that i discovered that is not good without lining then i cut out the lining and plead on it both fornt and back.

As I'm done with the garthers i discover that the remaining fabric will be enough for me to cut the half length, i folded it again in two, i measured out her normal half length and her shoulder length fevided by two, after that i devid her body by four plus 1 and the half inches allowance, so for the neck i didn't want it to be too width i open it with 1and the half wigth and 2 inches length then i draft them out.

After cutting out the front side

After cutting out the front, i fold the fabric again in two i measured out 1and the half inches for zipper allowance then i placed the front part on it.

After cutting out, here is the front and the back

After cutting them out i quickly placed the front on the lining.

Then i also placed the back side on the lining too.

After cutting out with the lining i pined it down with my office pin then i went to my sewing machine and sew them and turned out.

Then the next step is to join the front half length with the gathers.

I moved on joining the back too

After joining them i now pick up the back side and put a zip on it.

After putting the zip

After putting the zip i now join the shoulder together.

The next thing after that is to join the body together.

After joining the body, i now used my black bias and turn the shoulder sleeveless.

i remember to fix in a side rope, after everything then i now lose out the thread on the particular place and fixed in the side rope.
I cut out 5 inches width and 16inches length then i stitch them and turned out the good side and fixed them properly

After fixing the rope, continue using the bias and turned the two shoulder sleeveless hand.

Wow, the outfit is so beautiful and is ready to wear
