Pastrami Sandwich Day + Día del Sandwich de Pastrami [Eng+Spa]
This Sunday we are at home, a little worried because Vero (the cat) does not appear. It is January 14, and a few days ago Vero got into a fight with another cat and hurt his paw, but he is very rebellious and does not stay still at home to recover. Yesterday, my brother was treating him and putting medicine on the wound, but our cat didn't cooperate much. Today there is the situation that the cat does not appear all day. We can't help but worry.

Well, let's put my personal issues aside, because my #life today has been a little busier than other days, but I prefer to comment on the anniversary of #History. Este domingo estamos en casa, un poco preocupados porque Vero (el gato) no aparece. Es el 14 de enero, y hace unos días Vero se peleó con otro gato y se lastimó una pata, pero es muy rebelde y no se queda quieto en casa para recuperarse, ayer estaba mi hermano curándolo y poniéndole medicina en la herida, pero el gato no colaboraba mucho. Hoy está la situación de que el gato no aparece en todo el día. No podemos evitar preocuparnos.
Acaba de aparecer Vero… voy a tener que escribir rápido para poder publicar, y luego ir a ayudar a mi hermano, para revisar la herida de la pata, y ponerle nuevamente medicamentos. Bien, dejemos de lado mis asuntos personales, pues mi #vida hoy ha estado un poco más movida que otros días, pero prefiero comentar sobre la efeméride de la #Historia. Escogí para hoy una celebración del área de la #comida, y es una que identifica mucho una comunidad particular de una ciudad portuaria muy cosmopolita. Hoy es el ‘Día del Sándwich de Pastrami’.

El #pastrami (o pastrón) es una preparación de carne (tradicionalmente ternera, pero hoy se puede hallar incluso de pavo o de gallina), que es tradicional de la #cocina judía. Por cierto, la fama internacional de este bocadillo neoyorquino, va de la mano del #cine, pues se le atribuye su difusión por buena parte del mundo a la película ‘When Harry Met Sally...’ (1989), que es una película romántica, en la parte en que la protagonista discute con su contra parte masculino que los hombres no son capaces de descubrir un orgasmo fingido. Como no logran ponerse de acuerdo, ella come su Sándwich de Pastrami’, en el restaurante ‘Katz's Delicatessen’, mientras le demuestra un orgasmo impresionante (pero actuado). Al terminar, todos en el sitio los miran con asombro y una mujer le dice al camarero algo como: ‘Quiero lo mismo que comió ella’.
Tengo que admitir que lo pienso hoy en día con humor, pero fue una idea bastante atrevida en su momento.
