A conversation that was worth it

Hi everyone, and welcome to my blog.
On this one, I will be writing about how to start a conversation with someone I’m attracted to in a bar, what I would do, and the desired outcome.
In cases like it is almost impossible to walk up to someone you're attracted to not talk alone and start a long conversation with the person. It only takes the grace of God and enough courage for one to do that.

On my blog, I will be writing like a story, but I will be the character of my own story. Here it comes:

So, the weekend was becoming so boring as have been indoors all day and it was already making me weak. So I decided to go out for a drink or two, just to chill out and breathe in fresh air. I got up and looked for a nice outfit to put on since it was just a solo date. Just as I was about to step out my friend came in and was like where am I going to?
Yeah right, will I say she came just in time or she's invading my privacy well I can't do that so I just asked her to tag along since two heads are better than one.

We left the house together and got the place I had in mind, it was a lounge. So we entered and looked for a place to sit then when we were settled, the bartender came to our table and asked us what we would like to take, and we made our orders.
So my friend started her naughty behavior asking me to take pictures of her which I was not even ready to do, she kept pressuring me till I finally agreed to take pictures of her. So in the process, I spotted someone I knew from afar, at first I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me, but lo and behold it wasn't. immediately I saw that it was indeed him I left my friend with her picture and went back to sit down, and she was like “ hey babe why did you leave me like that, I'm not even done taking my pictures yet” and I stylishly pointed to the guys' direction for her to see him and she there she goes again saying “ hey your crush is here and he's alone go and meet him nah, a little convo won't hurt.”

I was reluctant to go because I was so shy and I didn't know if his girlfriend won't come out of nowhere and punch me in the face, but still, I summoned all the courage and if his girlfriend come, I'd excuse them.

So I got to where he was sitting, and this his how our conversation went:
Me: hello
Him: Hi, how are you doing?
Me: I'm good and you? Do you mind if I sit or are you with someone?
Him: I'm good too. Oh you can sit, I'm alone
( So I sat down, thinking of what else to say, then I just started with asking questions, which he was replying to)
Me: So why are you here alone? Where is your girlfriend?
Him: Well, I don't have a girlfriend, and I just wanted to cook off that's why I came here
Me: oh, that's nice, so no girlfriend? Then I'm think I might get a chance
Him: (he’s just smiling) so do you live around here
Me: No I don't, I just came out to cool off just like you
Him: Your face looks familiar, have I seen you anywhere before?
Me: yeah we literally see like almost everytime but we never get to talk
Him: yeah, that's true, but why do you look so different?
Me: Do I look different? It is still me
Him: Yeah you look different I couldn't even recognise the girl I'm crushing on
( I felt butterflies in my tummy immediately he said that, that means I wouldn't be needing to do much work as this is going very smoothly)
Me: Oh please, don't make me laugh
Him: I'm serious, have been meaning to talk to you but I haven't gotten the chance to, I guess today is my lucky day.
Me: Well, what can I say, can we talk later I want to go back to my friend, I'm sure she's bored
Him: Oh you are with your friend? Okay can I get your contact so we can talk later?
Me: Sure.

So that was how we exchanged contact, and we started talking, so the outcome of walking up to him and starting a conversation from anywhere was actually worth it because we became very close.
