WHAT I DO TO ESCAPE THE WEIGHT OF BOREDOM

Boredom is something I can not withstand, just being passive and not active. It sometimes makes me feel like I am sick or by the end of the day I would come down with a headache because I was just too bored. Whenever boredom strikes, I look for ways to occupy myself. I think I feel bored because I am not stimulated mentally or physically so I try to do something which I love to enable me to escape from boredom. Some of the things that stimulate me mentally and physically and also effective ways for me to deal with boredom include

BEING CREATIVE
As someone who loves art and also a graduate of fine and applied arts, I love doing some sort of creative work which helps me in warding away boredom. Be it writing, painting drawing, or even cooking. When am bored, I'll just remember I saw a recipe online that I haven't tried out and I'll just quickly go and get the ingredients and try it out. That automatic instinct just kicks in to come out creative whenever am bored and I'll just channel my creativity into something meaningful and boredom will soon be forgotten.

READING BOOKS

Reading helps stimulate my mind whenever am bored. It also aids in learning new things and increasing knowledge. There are different types of books online and offline ranging from motivational books, business books, novels, inspirational books, and so on. Whenever I am bored, I prefer to read what excites my mind so I go for romantic novels or books that entail comedy.

Exploring new hobbies and skills is another way for me to escape boredom when it crawls in at any time. There are so many free skills online and master. I recently finished this Google digital marketing course online and I learned a lot. It was boredom that made me take the course and I didn't regret it. The sense of accomplishment that comes from learning something new is fulfilling.

Sometimes, when I am feeling bored, I simply just want to relax and enjoy myself by sleeping. I take it as a cue to unwind and rejuvenate myself. Catching up on some sleep, watching movies, or any other leisure activities.

When someone wants to overcome boredom, it means the person needs to be active. It's important to find ways to be free from boredom not just any way but ways that will work for us and give us fulfillment.
