THE SEASON I AM MORE COMFORTABLE WITH

The weather season continues to change around the world. It changes from one season and it brings about a sense of renewal. I always anticipate these changes every time of the year.

In Nigeria, the main seasons we have are the rainy and dry seasons. The rainy season is characterized by cool temperatures, rainy days, and maybe thunderstorms while the dry season comes with endless sunny days and warm temperatures.

If I had to choose one season to stay forever, I would go with the dry season. Some people may find it weird but I will give you my reasons.

First off, There is something about cold that my body doesn't quite agree with. When it is raining and the temperature gets cold, even putting on a cardigan doesn't work for me because I think the cold easily attacks my inner body system more than the outside. I remember my N. Y. S. C. days, it was during the rainy season that I went to camp. The rain was just falling every day and it was just so cold that sometimes I took my bath when I got access to hot water later in the afternoon. I can't even bathe in cold water at all even when the sun is shining and the weather is hot That's to tell you how I fear cold Maybe am allergic to cold like my brother would say. Sometimes, when the weather changes and it's about to rain, my heart will just be beating fast because I know another cold is coming for me.

During the dry season, the weather is always clear as the sun is shining and everywhere is bright. It allows me to spend more time outside the home and I won't even worry about carrying an umbrella. There is something about me carrying an umbrella I will always forget it anywhere I go. It allows me to enjoy outings like swimming, parties, and even outdoor games without the fear of being rained on or the fear of flooding. At the last wedding reception that I attended rain fell and the event center was flooded not an open field. The decorated chairs and tables all were floating on top water. Thank God the event center building was upstairs they had to hurry and decorate the up for the couple to use.

I like my clothes drying faster when I wash them not waiting for so many days for them to get dried. I also noticed that during the rainy season, I fall sick easily because of the cold weather.

During the dry season, transportation is very easy for me when am going to work in the morning sometimes when it rains, all the tricycles will just disappear from the road, and the one you will finally get will hike the price because of the rain and sometimes I get to work very late.

Whether you prefer the rainy season or the dry season is a matter of preference. They can't be compared because each season has its disadvantages as well as advantages and significance. So we should enjoy them as they unfold.
