Miraculous Moments: A Near Miss on the Road to a Wedding

I should be thankful for being alive today. I have always seen movies, and read books about people who get involved in accidents but I have never thought for once that I will ever be involved in one.

The news consistently echoes the importance of wearing a seat belt, emphasizing the potential dangers of neglecting this simple act. Thankfully, I had always kept this advice in mind, and last week, it proved to be a decision that possibly saved my life.

I was going for a friend's wedding ceremony and I was late. He had told me that if I missed it, he won't be happy with me, so I had to find a way to be there. I woke up around 7 am, and was going to at a wedding that would begin at 10 am. My house to the location was a hour journey by car but then my cloth wasn't ready.

I decided to go meet the fashion decided to get my cloth but then, my cloth wasn't ready until 9:25 am, so I rushed down to my house to get dressed. I was fast with my thing, and quickly went to get a taxi to get me to the destination. I got a taxi at 9:40 am, and I told the driver I was in a hurry to get to my destination as I had only few minutes to meet the wedding that would hold for just 15 minutes.

I really needed to get there by 10 am, since the wedding was going to be over by 10:15 am. The driver decided to do as I was told, he wanted to get to a destination that would usually take 60 minutes in 20 minutes. The first thing I did was to fasten my seat belt because I knew it was gong to be a fast one. Although we were on the express and could go on about 100km/h, the driver was going at 140km/h and at some point, I was scared for my life.

While I still feared for my life, something else happened. The next thing I saw was the car making a U-turn and tumbling over about 3 times. Immediately, the car landed and was at rest, i jumped out of the car as I thought it would explode immediately, as I have always seen on movies.

The airbags came out and it did a good job of saving my head while the seat belt held me tight to the seat of the car. While I did miss the wedding, my friend showed understanding and, rather than expressing disappointment, sent another car to pick me up. In that moment, gratitude for life eclipsed any regret, and I couldn't help but feel fortunate to have survived a situation that could have ended very differently.

Wow... I can't imagine the trauma and I feel bad for the driver too...
This would be a major expenses on him in a time like this.
