I'm not afraid of heights anymore. It always scared me to look down while walking over the edge of the cliff. But I think I was encouraged by the fact that all the natural beauties I visited this month were on high hills and cliffs. The "Hound Canyon", which I went to last week, was a hidden corner of paradise saluting nature from the Taurus Mountains of the Mediterranean at the cliff address.

This uniquely beautiful view separating two giant rocks in the middle was the most beautiful natural wonder I have ever seen in Antalya. The view I saw from the hill was simply perfect. A bright water stream with its shining face passes through the middle of the canyon, which consists of high mountainous naturally formed rocks.

While I was on the way to the Hound Canyon, I regretted that we hadn't come yet, but I am relieved by what I saw along the way. To come to the canyon, you need to take the road from Antalya city center to Alanya district. You have to follow the Aspendos and Köprülü Canyon signs that will appear on the way. Continue on this road and proceed in the direction of the Beşkonak sign. On this road, it will bring you to the famous "Oluklu Bridge" on the Köprülü Canyon. I will start the story of the corrugated bridge again with you in another article. The water of the stream passing through the middle of the Köprülü canyon also comes from the Tazı Canyon. You can reach the "Hound Canyon" when you take the road that goes up the hill next to this bridge and leads to the Gaziler district.

Before I go to the canyon, I want to show all the beauty of this tea. Because the tea looks so lively and bright, I couldn't get enough of looking at it. It gave me great pleasure to watch the stream flowing through the high narrow rocks, trees and stones. The sun rays reflecting on the tea bring out its brightness and the magnificent turquoise color of the water. I can say that even the appearance of the rocks around the stream in different shapes intrigued me. Even the green-colored moss coming out of these indented stones became an ornament to those large pieces of rock. Even some trees whose names I do not know tried to find a place for themselves on the high rocks against the abyss. It is also understood that some stones were separated from the high rocks and rolled and fell around the stream. Flowing tea hits these rocks in some parts and presents us with a foamy visual feast. After enjoying the beauties here, let's continue on the road near the hill around the creek and move towards the Tazı Canyon. Let me tell you that this road, which takes about fifteen minutes, is asphalt. Only about 5 km of road consists of a dirt and stony road. You can easily cross this road with your vehicle with your vehicles with a high base. After completing this road, I come to the Hound Canyon, the area where there are various advertisement and promotion boards. Here, you can examine the billboard that shows the jumping and you can watch the promotional video if you wish. There is a small business at the entrance. The women working in this establishment and making pancakes also serve the customers. After a short walk through the thin pine trees, I finally reach the Hound Canyon.

There is no charge to enter the Greyhound Canyon. This place is located within the borders of Köprülü Canyon National Park. When I approach the canyon, I am truly fascinated by the landscape I see. You are looking at the view from the edge of the cliff, where the high naturally formed mountains face each other. There are viewing terraces at certain points from the edge of a very high cliff. You stand on the rocks and pose. Since the season is winter, the weather is a bit cold and windy. Although the green colors can be seen from time to time among the mountainous naturally formed high rocks, they cover the entire area at the summit. The reason why the canyon looks so beautiful is that it is composed of mountainous and steep cliffs that people cannot reach. The stream flowing from the skirts of the Taurus Mountains seems to have increased its intensity in places and formed deep crevices on the rocks. I can also say that the trees on the high rocks and the bright turquoise-colored Köprüçay flowing through the canyon add a different beauty to the landscape.

Hound Canyon does not have a specific visiting hour. Since Köprülü Canyon is located in the National Park, you can also camp here. But it doesn't seem very suitable for those who want to go hiking. Especially when it gets dark late in the day, the weather is cold and there are cliff edges that can be dangerous. Let me also say that it is a unique and breathtaking atmosphere for nature lovers. You can't get enough of the view of this bright turquoise tea flowing between two high mountains facing each other. You can also raft in the river flowing here during the summer months.

I can say that Greyhound Canyon has occupied the first place among the trips that I have enjoyed and been fascinated by the most. I hope you enjoyed what I wrote. Goodbye for now, see you in another travel post.

Artık eskisi kadar yüksekten korkmuyorum. Her zaman uçurumun kenarından yürürken aşağıya bakmak beni korkuturdu. Ama bu ay içinde gittiğim her doğal güzelliklerin yüksek tepelerde ve uçurum kenarlarında olması sanırım beni cesaretlendirdi. Geçen hafta gittiğim "Tazı Kanyonu" uçurumun adresinde Akdeniz'in Toros dağlarından doğayı selamlayan, saklı bir cennet köşesiydi.

İki dev kayayı ortasından ayıran bu eşsiz güzellikteki manzara Antalya'da şimdiye kadar gördüğüm en güzel doğa harikasıydı. Tepeden gördüğüm bu manzara tek kelimeyle mükemmeldi. Yüksek dağlık doğal oluşumlu kayalardan oluşan kanyonun ortasından ışıldayan yüzüyle parlak bir su deresi geçmektedir.

Tazı Kanyonuna giderken, daha gelmedik mi diye hayıflanmış olsam da yol boyunca gördüklerim karşısında keyfim yerine geliyor. Kanyona gelmek için, Antalya şehir merkezinden Alanya ilçesine doğru yol almasınız. Yolda karşınıza çıkacak olan Aspendos ve Köprülü Kanyon tabelalarını takip etmeniz gerekiyor. Bu yoldan devam ederek Beşkonak tabelasının olduğu yöne doğru ilerleyin. Bu yolda sizi Köprülü Kanyon üzerinde bulunan meşhur "Oluklu Köprüsüne" getirecektir. Oluklu köprüsünün hikayesini de bir başka yazımda sizlerle tekrardan başlayacağım. Köprülü kanyonun ortasından geçen çayın suyu da Tazı Kanyonundan gelmektedir. Bu köprünün yanından tepeye çıkan ve Gaziler mahallesine giden yola saptığınızda "Tazı Kanyonuna" ulaşabilirsiniz.

Kanyona gitmeden önce bu çayın tüm güzelliğini göstermek istiyorum. Çünkü çay o kadar canlı ve parlak görünüyor ki, bakmaya doyamadım. Yüksek dar kayaların ağaçların ve taşların arasından süzülerek akan çayı seyretmek bana büyük keyif verdi. Çaya yansıyan güneş ışınları parlaklığını ve suyun o muhteşem turkuaz rengini ortaya çıkarıyor. Çayın etrafındaki kayaların farklı şekillerdeki görüntüsü bile ilgimi çekti diyebilirim. Girintili çıkıntılı olan bu taşların arasından çıkan yeşil renkli yosunlar bile o büyük kaya parçalarına adate süs olmuşlar. Adını bilemediğim bazı ağaçlar bile yüksek kayalarda uçuruma karşı kendilerine yer edinmeye çalışmış. Bazı taşların yüksek kayalardan ayrılarak yuvarlanıp çayın etrafına düştüğü de anlaşılıyor. Akan çay bazı bölümlerde bu kayalara çarparak köpüklü görsel şölenini bizlere sunuyor. Uçurumun her köşesinden çayın o parlak görüntüsünü de sizlere de izletmek istiyorum. İşte o güzel resimler...

Buradaki güzelliklerin tadını çıkardıktan sonra çayın etrafındaki tepenin yanında bulunan yoldan devam edip artık Tazı Kanyonuna doğru hareket edelim. Yaklaşık on beş dakika süren bu yolun asfalt olduğunu söyleyeyim. Sadece yaklaşık 5 km'lik yolu toprak ve taşlı yoldan oluşmaktadır. Alt tabanı yüksek araçlarınızla bu yolu da rahatlıkla aracınızla geçebilirsiniz. Bu yolu da tamamladıktan sonra Tazı Kanyonu, çeşitli reklam ve tanıtım panolarının olduğu alana geliyorum. Burada Zıplıne yapıldığına dair reklam panosu inceleyip, tanıtım videosuna da dilerseniz bakabilirsiniz. Girişte küçük bir işletme var. Bu işletmede çalışan ve gözleme yapan kadınlar da gelen müşterilere hizmet veriyor. İnce çam ağaçlarının arasından kısa bir yürüyüşten sonra Tazı Kanyonuna sonunda ulaşıyorum.

Tazı Kanyonuna giriş için herhangi bir ücret alınmıyor. Burası köprülü kanyon milli parkın sınırları içerisinde yer alıyor. Kanyona yaklaştığımda, gördüğüm manzara karşısında resmen büyüleniyorum. Yüksek doğal oluşumlu dağların karşılıklı birbirine baktığı uçurumun kenarından manzaraya bakıyorsunuz. Oldukça yüksek bir uçurumun kenarından belirli noktalarda seyir terasları var. Kayaların üstüne çıkıp pozunu veriyorsunuz. Mevsim kış olduğu için hava biraz soğuk ve rüzgarlı oluyor. Dağlık doğal oluşumlu yüksek kayaların arasındaki yeşil renkler ara ara görünse de, zirvede tüm alanı kaplıyor. Kanyonun bu kadar güzel görünmesinin nedeni, insanların ulaşamayacağı dağlık ve sarp kayalıklardan oluşmuş olmasıdır. Torosların eteklerinden süzülerek akan çay yer yer şiddetini artırarak kayalıklarda derin derin yarıklarda oluşturmuş görünüyor. Yüksek kayaların üzerindeki ağaçlar ve kanyonun arasından akan turkuaz renkli parlak Köprüçayı manzaraya ayrı bir güzellik kattığını da söyleyebilirim.

Tazı Kanyonunun belirli bir ziyaret saati bulunmuyor. Köprülü Kanyon Milli Parkın içinde yer aldığı için burada kamp yapma imkanınız da bulunuyor. Ama doğa yürüyüşü yapmak isteyenler için pek de uygun görünmüyor. Hele ki günün geç saatlerinde karanlık bastırdığında, hem hava soğuk oluyor, hem de tehlikeli olabilecek uçurum kenarları yer alıyor. Doğa tutkunları için, eşsiz ve nefes kesen bir atmosfer olduğunu da söyleyeyim. Karşılıklı iki yüksek dağların arasından akan bu turkuaz renkli parlak çayın manzarasına doyum olmuyor. Yaz aylarında buradan akan çayda rafting yapma imkanınız da bulunuyor.
