Sea of colourless

I love to watch wildlife, and that includes the underwater world. Diving is such an awesome experience, and I only regret not diving as often as I would like, especially in waters where the biodiversity and colours makes you believe you're in a National Geographic documentary.

These weren't the waters with the best visibility, nor with the highest amount of wildlife that I've seen; nevertheless, it was a joy exploring this part of the country. And they are the first #monomad underwater experience for me!

It's definitely a different experience to portray these creatures and landscapes in monochromes than the ones I see above water; the contrast is harder to achieve, and the sea fades into a strange grey to me.

Or maybe I'm so used to see these animals with such striking colours that the change causes me some disconfort? I can't say I dislike to see them in this absence of colour, though.

It's been too long since I dived. These photos were taken almost 2 years ago, with a crappy camera borrowed from my brother in law; but I have a new full HD camera now, and can't wait to try it in good conditions. And if everything goes according to plan, in a few weeks... I'll have the chance to do just that. And in an ocean full of tropical life! Maybe repeating photos like these, but with more colourful species.

Photos or no photos, just being able to witness these underwater scenarios will be a blessing. And maybe I'll find some more camouflage masters. I found one during this dive, and if he was already hard to spot in full colour, in monochromes it gets even tougher!

The fins give it away a little bit, but honestly... how many of you could spot it instantly? ;)

Many types of fish and strange to see. There can be many dangerous animals under the water so be careful. Beautiful underwater photography

Nice shots. Everyone goes to tropical waters for the colors when they dive. I got checked out on diving in Oklahoma in a swimming pool haha People actually dive lakes in the midwest in the US. And it looks alot like these photos lol

Even snorkelling is good enough for beautiful settings sometimes!
