Postcards from colourless Europe
Now, here's something I don't do that often, which is to focus on cities and buildings instead of natural landscapes and wildlife; but fet like trying something different for this #monomad challenge. Trying new stuff is always a learning process, right?
I won't be able to add that much info to what exactly was I photographing; I can promise though, that I was in the middle of a city, and liked what I was seeing. As in this case somewhere in Stockholm, where the flowers looked great with the big tower in the backline. And yes, I do take some photos without any nature element... check this street on the same city, for example!
Been too long since I visited Sweeden, where a good childhood friend is living; should probably put it on a future travel list! And I could add this other gem in there, one of my favourite european capitals.
Did you guessed where it is?
This is one of the views in fisherman's bastion, one of the must-see spots in Budapest. Even for the ones that don't fancy cities that much, like me, this city has so many gems, I would say it's impossible not to like it!
Amazing statues, imponent buildings, warm baths throughout the city, and even beautiful city parks, when you need your nature fix.
Flying south, to another city that I enjoyed. Maybe because of the low expectations, since everyone kept telling me there was nothing nice in here, or maybe because of the company and the memories...
... but the view in Navigli area in Milan were definitely pleasant! Especially near Christmas, when I visited; this was already a few days after, but all the lighting and decorations was still in place. And from Milan, I was able to travel even further south and visit a place I wanted to go for quite some time: Cinqueterre, five beautiful villages planted at seaside. Here in monochromes, but it's with all their colours they have their true splendor.
Speaking of colors, that's something that is everywhere in one of the biggest festivities I've witnessed, in my neighbouring country Spain:
Las Fallas happens every year in the city of Valencia, where you'll see masterpieces like this scattered throughout the city... at least until they burst into flames (do some search if you're curious, and you'll find out what I mean).
It does show I'm missing vacations, when I even start posting about the cities I've visited, right? :) Soon, soon...

Whenever you convert the images to black and white, their beauty increases a lot and it's true that artists who are artists work hard and create such beautiful things.
