New Year... new beginnings?

With a new year, normally comes renewed will to create objectives, or change something in our lives for the better. Funny how setting goals and trying to improve on something is in our power to start at any given day, but the new year resolutions are almost a staple in everybody's life, and more often than now, those resolutions go south on the first days of the year.

I do think that setting goals is extremely important to actually achieve something, but more important than creating them, is finding out a way to pursuing them, and sorting what steps are necessary to work consistently torwards those goals.

Consistency being the key word here!

Starting the year with renewed energy is easy; keeping up with the same motivation is the hard part.

As for me, there are a TON of stuff I want to work/improve on, both work/ personal life related, and of course, in this awesome blockchain! I'll be setting very loose goals, but one thing is certain: I will grow my HP to 5 digits this year, and will work on doing it fast! I powered up a little bit more today, as I did last year, to start the year with a more round number, and here's how I stand now:

8500 HP, 735 HBD, 1064 LEO

Apart from reaching double-dolphin numbers, will try to double HBD and LEO numbers as well. I stopped counting other tokens; not that I won't be accumulating a variety of them, but these are the ones I'll be keeping track on a monthly basis, as minimum. That will help me rethink some of my strategies if the growth seems less than I antecipated, and posting about it is a great way to have the numbers always present.

Have I figured out what steps will I take to work torwards my own goals?

Nah.

I haven't even made them! 😁

I do have a good idea thow; but need time to settle and gather all the stuff I want to do, and time wasn't that abundant this last week, working without any rest and going out for dinner basically every day.

2022 had good moments, and not so good ones; focusing on the good ones, I've finally travelled abroad, after 2 years of generalized nonsense (at least torwards the ones who refused an experimental vaccine)... and joined my first Hivefest, where I could finally put faces in some of the names I got used to see here, and met a few "unknown" others that made me realise that there are probably tons of awesome hiveians out here that I'm yet to find. Definitely it was one of the highlights of my year!

This is Cabo Verde flag, the last country I've visited, only a couple weeks ago. I wonder which country will I visit next? 😉

May 2023 come with more growth, more joy, more trips, stronger friendships, and less worldwide craziness; those are my wishes for everyone of you!
