Eeny, meeny, miny, mo...

Trying to decide where will my big vacations be this year, and browsing through my photo archive realised that it's been 10 years since I visited Asia for the first time.

It does leave a mark if you come from a different continent, right? The culture, the temples, everything so different from what I have in Europe.

Thailand was the first, and a few were added to the list in the following years. And while seeing these photos through a monomad lenses, more and more I feel revisiting Asia again seems a perfect destination! After all, I've seen but a tiny bit of that amazing continent. And the temples, amazing as they are, are not the main reason that makes me want to go back.

So many different creatures! From a tiny lizard jumping its way through the canopy while I was having breakfast, to the cool looking beetle roaming a clouded forest, I know I'm bound to find a horde of fascinating wildlife if I go back, regardless of the country I choose.

Although we tend to think just on the fabulous beaches with crystal clear water, the jungles and forests have a special appeal to me as well. After all, a good part of the indigenous wildlife won't be basking at the beach, right?

But yes, beaches are a must as well; just remembering these locations is enough to make me feel relaxed!

All these are from Thailand, from different locations, in the north and in the south. These huge rocks emerging from the water are basically screaming Asia!

Cities tend to be noisy and chaotic, but I don't take that many city photos... in fact, knowing there are places like these, I tend to flee cities as fast as I can, and escape to these little paradises. Just as long it has nature, I'm happy!

And wraping it up with the typical photo from the Phi-Phi islands viewpoint; this one is mine, but if you ever seen photos from these islands, this scenery is probably familiar.

Thailand, Camboja, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka... and now, where next?

We all love to visit places with such scenic views and learn a lot from visiting here and the beauty of the photos is enhanced when they are converted to black and white.
