Between love, details and fun // Contest #146

Hello, how nice it feels to be connected again in Hive and more being in this community of ladies that after a long time I visit again, thanks to the friend @sirenahippie who recently invited me to enter the contest #146. I remember with much pleasure that I used to participate in these contests, but without realizing it I drifted away, however I hope I can be more vigilant to bring my participation, even if it is from time to time because it is nice when ladies united contribute a grain of sand to grow together by sharing anecdotes between womens.

I saw the two questions posed for this week and decided to answer both, so I'm going with the first one:

  • 1) When was the last time you actually got out for the day and enjoyed being with friends and doing something fun that you wanted to do?

Well, the people with whom I have shared more celebrations and walks are my close family, highlighting the special company of my children, my mom and my brother, although I can no longer do it with my mom and my brother because we are in different countries for now. They are in Venezuela and I am in Colombia.

But I have had very, very special outings here in Colombia with my two children, after so much time apart and not being together the three of us. This has been a privilege that feels strange and wonderful at the same time, because it had been a long time since I had experienced it. My children know me and know that I avoid going out for recreation, this is something that happens since our life in Venezuela. Of course, the inflation in our country limits the fulfillment of many desires and also some health problems prevent me from moving as I wish to share with my children.

However, I can tell you about the last outing I had with my children here in Colombia, which was in February to the spectacular Botanical Garden of Medellin. That trip was a birthday surprise on behalf of my oldest son and it was an incredible experience that I enjoyed very much because it was a place that I only knew from photos that my son sent me when I was in Venezuela and in my heart I longed to know it. I was really happy, I felt valued, pampered in the Botanical Garden of Medellin.

Although I'm only showing two pictures, I took a lot of non-tired ones but I have them saved for another post. My kids know that I go crazy with photos, they laugh because I have thousands of photos in my files of everything I see that I think deserves a picture. On the one hand I thank God I have so many photos because when I lay down on a bed I will have material to publish for years to come. So, you can imagine the amount of photos I have in addition to the ones I took at the Botanical Garden, a walk that was a dream come true.

Now, on to the second question:

  • 2) When was the last time you were pampered with flowers and a thoughtful gift that did not come with "strings attached" (e.g.: a condition)?

I am more of a chocolate person than a flower person and my special ones know that very well, which as I said are my children, my mom and my brother. I must confess that I get very often pampered by my two children, who bring me a chocolate bar and no matter if it is big or small I am very happy. Although I am not supposed to eat chocolate, I allow myself those treats from time to time and my children like to surprise me. That is something that makes me feel recognized, pampered, loved. In fact, on Mother's Day my children surprised me with a very special gift, a cup with several chocolates. What a treat!

My fast-paced and busy days are compensated with cuddles from my children. Somehow, they care about me and seek to ease my routine, which revolves around work because needs must be met, especially medical needs, but since it can't all be work and more work, my children remind me with their attentions. I end by thanking them for every detail and the moments of joy that my children give me, which are without expecting anything in return, they have no selfish conditions, other than to raise my self-esteem.

I hope to meet you in a new contest.

I just can't turn down chocolate even when I know it isn't good for my health.

Oh yes, chocolate is irresistible and addictive, for me it is the most delicious flavor and aroma in the world. It's very hard to say no to Mr. Chocolate. Thanks to you @kerrislravenhill for appreciating my content.
