Wonderful to get out, instead of sitting at home.

Yes, the storms are still wild here, but occasionally a rain break appears.

It was that long worm shaped cloud on the mountain that grabbed my interest.

A dark day, and I have a variety of images here to keep you spellbound. At times the sun peeped through, but for most of the day the dark ruled. We have very tough times here with the ice and storms, thousands of people had to be relocated, after losing their homes. The count continues to increase and the best that we at Papillon can do is to support the emergency workers. They supply people with blankets and food, and the Cape Town City places the people into shelters. Not only that, as the people are also assisted with building materials and a lot of other needs. Thankfully there are also other entities involved, such as the Gift of the Givers, and others.
But let me share what I have for you today.

I decided to get closer to the mountain, in order to inspect the body of that worm cloud.

And I knew exactly where the spot was to see the cloud closer up.

Looks very different than the tag image doesn't it? But it is the same mountain and the same worm cloud.

Some UFO cloud formations on the hills.

And then a lovely sun break for a few minutes.

An enormous cloud came drifting over.

But soon, the clouds drew a curtain again across the sun's face.

Finally, a brave bit of sun guided us back home.

I am forlornly searching for snow on the mountain peaks, but the clouds continue to cover the peaks. But I will just try to look for the snow at every opportunity that I can get. I did show you the snow last year and the strange thing is, that the floods appeared in June last year and now it appears in July. Just to return to the subject of Papillon supporting the bigger organizations that are busy with the rescue work, our reasoning is that it is not necessary to reinvent the wheel, we are not intent to go out there in order for the Papillon name to appear in the limelight, as if we were to try and support people on our own then we would only be able to support a handful. Whereas the bigger entities support thousands. So, it makes sense, to stay in the background and to rather support them.
Such is life.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

It's so nice to get out of the house and see a beautiful place like this.

Those are some really interesting cloud formations indeed! In fact, no matter the day, the season or the time, if you get outside your house you will always find things to do and stuff to capture with your camera. It's a personal thought :)

I always try to use the word mucho around my Spanish-speaking friends.
It means a lot to them.
