The way that we do things.

We live in a farming town and here you will see some of our way of life.

First, I will show you a happy Christmas procession that came past our house and then I will show you a Christmas doggy party.

Life certainly has some interesting quirks at times and we were totally unprepared to see this. The first surprise was the tractor and the trailer procession and then it was the dogs. It was an ordinary morning and we only had a lunch invitation to attend, but then we met with some lovely events. It is amazing how friendly people can be on Christmas day and I wonder why they cannot be like this every day. I mean that it costs nothing to greet a stranger with a smile.
In any case, we had a nice day and I hope that everyone on Hive also had a good day.
So come and have a look at our day.

Waving, with a loud bell clanging away and also some music, it was so nice to see. Real farmer style.

Some of the neighbors tagged along with their dogs and everyone was in a festive spirit.

Then we were off to the aunt's place for lunch and there was another surprise waiting for us.

And now for the doggy Christmas party.

Neo, the black dog and Honey the brown dog at the end are the house dogs and they had 3 friends over for a Christmas party.

Lady Athena the white friend was a bit impatient and she got the first serving.

Honey at the end had to give a paw before she got hers.

So after the eats, Neo decided to have a swim with his girlfriend Honey anxiously watching him.

Athena (the white) also tested the water, but she decided that it was too cold for a swim.

Neo was a real showman and he was very good at the swimming game.

You could have drowned!. Honey shouted at Neo when he got back from his swimming stunt.

Can you believe that these are all rescued dogs. We had Christmas lunch at my wife's aunt's place and her daughter with her boyfriend, adopt and train the dogs for a period, before they are ready to go to loving homes.
So, at Papillon we work with people and her family works with dogs that are taken away from harrowing situations. Some of these dogs were near death when they were collected by the animal rescue organizations.
If you look at them now, they are well fed, healthy and happy and they are enjoying their second chance at life. All that it takes is a bit of love and care.

This is a showcase of care, and we so wish that many others will also start caring as then this world will become a better place.
