The art of the sun and the mountains.

Beautiful to see how the sun draws up mist from the mountain's base.

I have two actions of the sun to show you in here. First the mist and then the rays.

But first a short poem.

A Way To Look At Things.

We have not yet made shoes that fit like sand.
Nor clothes that fit like water,
Nor thoughts that fit like air.
There is much to be done-
Works of nature are abstract,
They do not lean on other things for meaning.
The sea-gull is not like the sea,
Nor the sun like the moon,
The sun draws water from the sea,
The clouds are not like either one-
They do not keep their form forever.
That the mountainside looks like a face is accidental.

Arthur Garfield Love (1925)

The ground was saturated by all of the rain, and you can see the sun playing artist here below.

This was at the opposite end, and the mist started to form clouds.

Just a moon shot for a line break.

And now for some sun rays later in the day.

Finally, the cloud pulled a blanket over the sun's face, and you can see how it darkened the vineyard.

I view all of this as nature's art, and like it was said in the poem, Works of nature are abstract. The great thing about it, is that nature is alive, and her artworks constantly change, depending upon the conditions. So, not one day is the same, as she simply publishes a new artwork each day. We are fortunate and blessed to view nature's artworks, and I have shown you many of them here in my blog over the past years. And yet, I can never get enough of it, as it really fills me with awe. Believe me when I tell you, that its cold out there, as we are in the winter season here in South Africa now. The thing is, that one also has to keep a constant eye out for disruptive rain, as it can arrive within minutes, depending on the windspeed. So, at times, the sky can look lovely and clear, and the next moment one gets a wet shower. But that's just the risk of the photography trade, and we shouldn't complain, as the end result is what's always important.
Such is life.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.
